I fully plan on coating them, I bought the complete kit from Eastwood for my frame, axles, and prop shaft (converter, encapsulation, and overcoat). I didn't realize they are more prone to corrosion though, I will definitely keep that in mind!

Tuesday I picked up a new set of wheels to replace my crap chrome caps and steelies. Nothing special about them but a huge deal for me. The best I could afford and a good deal from a fellow TW dude.0922151732a.jpg

My grandson gave me a Transformers badge to put on the rig. I'm not putting it on my truck until I make a few changes.

Chip, I'll get you a full list of the stuff I ordered from them when I have some free time today. I also plan on taking off my bed next weekend and coating the whole back half. You're more than welcome to join.

How much did that cost you? I'd like to know how harsh the ride is with the Expo's unloaded. My leaves are toast because I sometimes load the truck down, but I don't want to get beat up by my truck want I'm not carrying a lot of weight.

The ride is rough.. it definitely needs weight.. the leafs were 500, the Fox shocks were 750, the timberens, brake lines, u bolt flip was about 450.

Then I added weight to my rear and it is much better..still going to add 170lbs when I get a cap. uploadfromtaptalk1443188202932.jpg

I have dakars in the rear with icon extended travel rr and the Dakar aal for my Pelfreybilt rear bumper. rides pretty smooth now. before the bumper I had the dakars w/o the aal and bilstein 5100s. It bounced super hard in rear with that set up and no bumper. The icons bushings are huge compared to the billies, that and the weight of the bumper I think really helps smooth out the ride.

Good to know, bumpers are in the distant future. I'm saving for a set of skids right now

I have toytec coilovers in the front now. I want to replace those for something with a heavier spring rate in the next few months so I can get some skid plates. looking forward to Mobtown to put some out so I can avoid shipping.

I see Goo Gone and a small brush to get under the cover and mirror and let it sit for 5 minutes. I just gently pulled on the top of the mirror nearest the car. The cover came off after 2 tries. Take a bucket of fresh water to rinse off you truck, lots of that deal ended up on my rig with no apparent damage
