I used a similar model last time I went out. Those bulbs are great since I have a bunch of smaller usb batteries laying around. They light up the RTT perfectly and they work quite well to light up the area if you hang it inside of an EZ UP.

Just ran into this at Target, gonna pick one up. Love the dimmable feature and the price of $20.99.

Love all the lighting ideas. I think ill put my electronics knowledge to work and make a whole setup in there. Plan is going to be 2 led strips, white and red. Both attached to the center support bar possibly using large clear shrink wrap. They will connect to a small project box, kinda like that pelican case pictured a few posts back. That box will have 2 small switches for each color light, with dimmer controls as well. The box with be retrofitted with 2 usb outlets and one 12v cig lighter with a master power switch. The box will be powered by a hardwired setup to the truck or im thinking to convert a household extension cord to be a less permanent solution. The male end of the plug will plug into a 110 outlet on the box and the female end will be cut off and either add a connector to plug into the hitch for power or alligator clips to the battery. Havent decided the wiring design yet, but i know i want this power box :)

Can you take some more pictures of how you have the "power" in the Pelican? Looks like outlets on the side of it. Giving me ideas, I already have my OBA in a Pelican behind my seat.[IMG]

Here's some I had in my library
It's basically a "hub" for power. I have an extension cord that runs from an outlet on the truck to this box so I don't have to keep it in the tent.

Broke the travel cover zipper on day 2 of my 8-day Montana/Wyoming expedition. Finished out the trip with just the straps over the travel cover (held fine, even at 80+ mph). Gave CVT a call yesterday to see about ordering a new zipper. They said "no problem!" Guess what showed up today! New zipper. Free of charge (CVT called it a warranty item).

    Killer customer service, CVT!!

Check your hinge man mine bound up before. Also check every single bolt on it. My tepui was and is great but some of the bolts weren't tight and once they fall out or get loose it likes to bind up on the hinges and cross bars. Shouldn't be difficult at all to close if everything is good

Maybe someone can help me.... inside the CVT Mt. Shasta there are 2 nylon straps, 1 on each side, permanently attached to the center support bar. The free end has a closed loop on it just like the attached side. In videos Ive seen bungee cord like straps that criss cross the tent to help it close and tuck in, but these dont seem to reach across and even if they did there is no way to attach them anywhere. Anyone know what these are for?

Handholds to grab onto as you enter / exit. I don't use mine a lot. Maybe if my shoes or ladder are wet or frosty, just to steady myself

Really?? That seems odd. I guess its a great idea they just didnt seem to be too functional for the purpose but then again i wasnt looking at it that way so ill have to look again this weekend when i open it up again. Thanks.

Did yours comes with thise bungees i mentioned to criss cross to assist in closing?

Yes, I have the bungees. Some folks complained that they put too much stress on the seams and caused leaks over time so they may have stopped including those. The tent still closed up fine without them, just takes a little more effort to tuck everything in
