You may be able to buy a new back that allows for Wireless charging...I did so with a Note 4. If you have an S5 you can buy a wireless charging back cover for the phone. Thats all you need.

Which model? Galaxy S6 is already good to go for wireless charging.

It's an S4 Mini. So then it will need a wireless charging receiver plugged into the phone?

Yes. You will need an add on of sorts.

Seems meagerly redundant unless your phone already has the capability built in. I would probably stick to a wired charger, that way you can at least use the phone while it's charging.

Yup. A good wired charger via the DC outlet will be much faster too.

That's the beauty of wireless charging in a BT environment You don't need to mess with the phone or for calls or music over BT It is already charging while being used.

I bought the back plate for my Samsung Note 4 which is close to the same size. Charging works great plenty of room for phone and more. No plugging anything in at all. Just press button to charge. Only thing I noticed is it won't charge if it isn't positioned towards the left side of the pocket. No biggie though.

Bringing this conversation back from the dead. I have the iPhone X which has wireless charging built in. Will it work or does this only charge android phones?

Galaxy S8 with carbon fiber case and I dig the wireless charging. My gf has an iPhone (no case when doing the wireless charging test) and I picked up the adapter thingy for it but charging seems REALLY slow on her phone compared to mine.

Note8 here. works just fine. Shortly though, when my Hondo mount shows up, i'll go back to a cable, and my wife can use the wireless for her iphone x.
