The build page for the 2015 Tacoma changed available packages based on where you said you were. As somebody previously pointed out on another thread, the build page is not designed to show you what is possible, it is designed to match you up to a vehicle available in inventory. So it is only going to allow you to select options that match what is either in the inventory of your regional distributor or potentially in their allocation. So if you pick a specific package and the only truck in their inventory with that package is black, it is going to force you to pick black for the color. It is a useful tool for them to match buyers to inventory...it is particularly worthless for a buyer who wants to explore the MSRP of packages and options and actually build a specific truck.

Yeah the build site, besides giving me something to fap to, lists typical packages for an area. The joy for me is which ever endpoint my company's internet decides to dump me at will give me different options.

EX: I exit to LA and I get no manual option

Do some network trickery to dump to Massachusetts (sp?) and I get manual and other color options.

    I blame the internet.

There are about 1300 2016 Tacomas on cars.com. They are really cranking them out. Wonder how many they can make in a day.

Good to know. It won't let me build a 4x4 SR5 DCLB without the Appearance package. Anybody know if I can take the Appearance package off?

Thanks! According to their site, people still paying at least $1k over invoice. I'll wait til Costco does their magic.

At the rate Toyota is cranking these out, I think dealers will soon be willing to wiggle a bit more.

I will probably get a 2017 model. I am just watching everyone else spend too much money. =) My ideal build is a DCLB TRD OR in magnetic grey + tow package. No other options. Still have not seen that build yet online or anywhere else.

No, I want it to be 4x4. The Toyota build page said it will be about $35,850 after delivery charge.
