    Hey everyone, long time forum stalker here. Since we are talking sliders, has anyone ever heard of Armorology in Colorado Springs? A buddy gave me his card, says he can hook me up with some custom armor (hence the name, I guess). His website isn't up yet but I was wondering if of the locals here had any experience working with him.

    They are pretty expensive. It's been a few years since I've looked at any of what they sell. But I remember them being very proud of it with the price tag.

    Lots of the Florida guys have the 4xinnovations sliders, very cheap if you have access to a welder. We don't have the local options you have out there, which we would prefer but it is what it is. Figured I'd throw another name into the hat.

    Yeah I completely agree with the absent gussets and the messed up cut. That is unacceptable.

    On the other hand, he pumps out more product than pretty much any other guy on TW so there's bound to be some mistakes here and there. Mine (80") were purchased in a group buy with a kickout and shipped to my door for $330, and were a work of art when I received em.

    Just trying to share my good experience with Jerry as well.

    @Ostrichsak

    After reading through all the great comments and what your requirements are for sliders I suggest this- Get with a local guy like Addicted or InSain and get a set of basic weld on sliders to keep the cost down. Have the local guy weld in a set of filler plates right by the door entry area ONLY. Or see if the filler plates can be designed to BOLT onto the slider via recessed tabs on the tube maybe. The reason for this is directly from my currents experiences with my Slee sliders that have fully welded in plates. The connection point on the bottom side between the tube and the flat plate simply cannot get a decent coat of paint or powder coat on it and I am now dealing with rust under there regularly.

    Also assuming you are keeping costs down and plan to rattle can your sliders instead of powder coating them get ahold of a product called POR15 and coat the underside where that plate will be attached to the tube liberally (assuming a bolt on plate option was not possible). Maybe, just maybe the POR15 will seal off that area and keep you rust free for a lifetime.

    And last but not least don't forget to stick some grip tape on the top of the plate to allow for shoe grip. Your vertically challenged passengers will thank you. :)

    So, participated in a controlled drinking lab for the local jurisdiction I volunteer for.
    I was assigned to drink 10 beers (based on weight, ht, etc)
    In the first hour I was 3-4 in and blew .081.
    1.5 hours after, and 2-3 more beers I blew under the legal limit but failed all road sides lol.

    One of my friends works for the company that makes the alcohol monitoring ankle bracelets and occasionally he has to do product testing. So he gets paid to sit in a conference room with others all day and watch movies while comparing the device's readings to a breathalyzer. :p
