    A small handful of select mods.
    It's toed out. Your tie rods need to be adjusted in. Your geometry on the front end has changed a lot with the lift and new UCA'S. I am sure your camber isboff a s well. The noise I heard was from the tires fighting each other on corners. Also either remove the sway bar or buy a sway bar spacer kit to relocate it so it does not make contact.

    Get the alignment soon though. Being toed out like that will chew through the tires quickly.

    Read a lot about differences in ride height between 885s and 887s and stiffness of 886s and which are best for added weight... I'm looking for 2.5-3" up front for clearance.

    My question is, if I'm adding a US Offroad bumper and winch (~130 lbs) and probably some plates underneath, do I need 886s? Or can I get away with 887s, which with a little weight up front would likely droop the front down to where 885s would be (~2.5" of lift) and have a softer ride?

    The US Offroad bumper won't weigh as much as a full bumper replacement so I don't know if the difference in added weight from the skids will make the difference or not for 886 or 887. I don't intend to keep the skids on full-time, only when I'm going off-roading, to try and keep my highway weight down a little. I'm leaning toward 887s.

    Any advice?

    I'm guessing 886's.

    My front skid alone is 65lbs (3/16" steel). No bumper or winch yet. I've got 887's right now. Haven't taken after measurements yet but I think it does down a bit. Rides smooth though.

    887's could meet you the height you want. But with the extra weight probably not.

    I have about the same amount of weight hanging off the front and full skids w/ 886s. ~2.5" of lift and the ride is great on and off the pavement.

    Depending on how much you wheel, I bet taking the skids on and off every time will get old pretty quick.

    I just got my full set up on the weight I will have on the truck and want to be sure I'm looking at the right suspension.

    Up front I have a 75 pound bumper and a 30 pound aluminum skid. I'm thinking 887s because I don't think that's enough weight to validate 886s.

    In back, I have a fiberglass cab high shell with a roof rack. I'll be adding a Prinsu rack soon. Together I think they weigh about 200 pounds. I also have a rear bumper with a swingout weighing 130 pounds along with a full size spare to add about another 100 or so pounds. For the rear, I was thinking of Dakars with the extra leads to give it the extra inch. I want the rear to have about 1" of rake so that it sits level when my RTT and gear is on the canopy.

    If anybody could double check my opinion on the parts I need, that would be awesome!

    Edit: the truck is a V6 4x4 Access Cab

    Regardless of how much you wheel taking the skids on and off sucks. Again this depends on yours skids but mine just suck to take on and off without a hoist.

    As for the 886's I feel the same with the weight. Rides great. Even before I had the winch in it wasn't bad at all.

    Only wheeling 1-2 times a month. Also make the trek from Vegas to Tahoe every couple months....how's the ride on 886s after 7 hrs? lol

    My trucks my daily driver. No problem driving that much with the 886's. Drives nice and smooth for me. I would drive 3-5 hours to school and no problems with the ride. Just gets smoother the more ya drive it :D

    If your wheeling that much I wouldn't bother removing the skids, I don't even want to remove mine to do maintence but no choice there.

    Just fine. Did Reno to Oregon twice last week. Its a f'n highway. After 8-10 hours in the saddle offroading well, sometimes that a different story.

    Absolutely, however I was wheeling stock and that 8-10 hour wheeling trip sucked compared to wheeling with the ome suspension. More insight for those who have wheeled stock.

    I've had both 884s and 886s and both rode really nice. I'm sure 887s will ride nice too I just think with you having that much weight on the truck that over time 887s will not hold up as well. FWIW :cheers:

    Well depending on how you think of it, the skids just act as another passenger (weight wise). So if it's just you driving, your weight savings is just a passenger. Is it worth it to remove them for the possibility of a small increase in mpgs that not carrying that passenger may give you? That's how I looked at. May be wrong but helps me sleep at night :cool::anonymous:
