Maybe we can convince Ashley that the price didn't change from 2015 either.

Called about an OR taco that was listed on a dealerships website, guy told me the m/t model would be in next week but i could test drive the autos meanwhile. Told him I'd wait for the manual. He has since been calling me and leaving voice mails to come in and test drive the autos. So i decided to apply for credit through their website and left him a voicemail to call me about financials (im 23 and unsure if i will qualify ). He hasn't gotten back to me so I'm assuming it's a no-go from a financial point.

I thought it was funny that he was being pushy up until i submitted my financial information lol. Oh well, i guess i have to build more credit. So long TW.

I am new posting here (lurking everyday, though) and I don't see much of a difference in price b/t 15s and 16s. I just priced out a 2016 4x4 Off Road Manual w/ towing on the Toyota website and it came to ~$34,424. The dealer closest to me has a 2015, same model, for MSRP of $34,404.

Am I missing something? Because I see lots of folks saying 2016 is priced higher but at least doing that version seems about the same

I ran a carsdirect quote through and unintentionally submitted it for a local dealer (never used the site). Woman emails asking about trade/no trade. I reply no trade.

Guy calls and leaves a message letting me know how ready he is to get me into the tundra I want and can get me the most for my trade.

damn that the dealer I bought my 2000 Tacoma 4x4 sr5 back in 2001 when I was living in St. Paul. Funny thing is they listed as a tundra, when I showed up no tundra was found except the taco.

Had a sales manager at a Phoenix dealer tell me the 2016s were cheaper than the 2015s. He also said Kelly Blue book for a 2012 Tacoma is higher than brand new 2016s.

What dealer? I'll trade my 12 in there, get a 16, and drive away with a fat wallet.

I was going to ask this guy about his employee discount but then I realized jet fuel can't melt steel beams

Not really funny except for those who got good deal on a 2016 (or in my case a 2015). I was at the stealership this morning and saw my first 2016, a silver SR5 4 x 2, with plain steel wheels. Of course I had to check it out and take a few pics. Note the price, especially market adjustment fee.
I feel much better having got a similar 2015 for $8k less, and am laughing all the way to the bank.IMG_2160.jpgIMG_2159.jpgIMG_2157.jpg

They can take that market adjustment fee and shove it. I walked into a dealer today with invoice +$500 on a 16. Ready to sign until they de-valued my trade $3,000.

Went to a dealer today just to take a look. Guy told me they have only had one come in and a guy bought it before it was even unloaded off the truck. While doing the paper work 3 other folks tried to buy it.

Not so much funny, as sad reality. The guy I dealt with yesterday was great, but at the beginning, we were talking about the different options and whatnot and he asks "How do you know all this stuff? They haven't told us anything." They had just gotten them in, and he hadn't even seen one as it was the first day after his vacation. I was happy about his honesty, and most of the test drive he was learning as much as he could reading the manual and such, but Toyota really seems to drop the ball on rolling out a new(ish) product.
