Squeky 5100

Has anyone that has front 5100's ever had one that squeked, or chirped while driving. Reminds me of an intermittent brake squeal controlled by bumps in the road. Started out very faint but has gotten progressively louder and more annoying. Moisture makes it go away as well as lubrcant.

No, where shaft moves up and down into the shock body. I wasn't sure that's what it was until earlier when I started the process of elimination and shot a squirting of penetratig oil on the shock shaft and it instantly stopped so no audio as of now.

 

Ok well sounds like you've isolated the source , now to find out why, & no fluid leaking or seepage from shock tube/shock body ?

 

No leaking, they have about 7-800 miles on them, and the noise started after about 4-500 miles. It's just on the front driver side.
