Well Lord Vader, I will stick with my triple lockers and continue to resist the dark side. ;)

Not planning on a crawl box. Not necessary IMO, at least on my truck. I'll play in the rocks occasionally but that's not the primary purpose. I spent a lot of time in the rocks with my last 80 series and it always had stock gears. Was never a problem. All that said, I have a set of 4.88's sitting on the shelf just waiting for me to have time to get them installed. That will help a bit.

The one spot I back up in the video was because the backside of that rock that you can't see was pretty steep. The first time I tried climbing it, the front end wanted to slip to the passenger side and it would have caused the rear axle to get hung up. I needed the truck to stay on the correct line so I backed up a little and was able to keep the front of the truck on the right line.

Wow, what a change in scenery. I have only done it once and that was early spring and we got snowed on. It looks completely different in the fall. Gorgeous colors. Might have to get up there soon.

well, if you don't get up there soon you'll miss it. Most of the aspens are already past the golden color and are already turning black/brown.

What do you think of those LED headlights? Maybe I missed it, but I didn't see what you thought of them.

Love 'em! Great inexpensive mod. Huge difference over the stock bulbs.

Awesome. I have been debating between LED and HID. One of my lights just burnt out so it's the perfect time.

HIDs are cool. The reason I didn't go with HIDs on my Cruiser is because the factory headlight housing has a glass lens with "reflector/diffusers" molded into the lens. instead of a clear lens like the Tacoma has. I think HID's lose their effectiveness without a clear lens and I wasn't interested in changing the housings on my cruiser and actually prefer the glass lens over the plastic lens on the Tacoma that yellows and gets foggy. I also like that the LEDs have a much lower power draw.

FWIW had I changed the lights on my Tacoma I'd have probably looked at HIDs first. All that said, I'm really happy with the LED bulbs.

Ohhh yeah about that... just consider this some down time to allow the mods to forget and give us some breathing room for future activities ;)
