I Have not had any issue with paying more for quality...In fact, unlike a few complainers about the Tacoma price, I know and accept there is a price to pay for reliability and quality as well as resale. That's why we don't buy "less expensive more and/or more for the money" Hyundais, Chevys or Fords. I know many don't like the prices the Tacoma is coming in at.But they are paying it. But in reality resale will continue to keep the depreciation gap lower...much lower. It still is a best buy as far as I can see....

Hell I am going from a 15 to a 16 for $6000 and I stepped up the options over $2000 more than my 15 had.... how many brand owners can step up one model year for Net $4000? Not many.

Of course we don't pay more than $300 sales tax so that also helps make those kind of moves more practical.

I did a 2015 build back in August to compare with the MSRP of the 2016 and it about a $1000 difference.

My '03 4Runner has power seats. I've owned it since new. Nothing has ever gone wrong on the power seats. I'm the only one who drives it, so I only have to adjust the seat if a mechanic has moved the seat. And power seats provide far more precise adjustments than manual seats.

There is only one downside to power seats -- they cost more.

This is a very minute detail but I think they should have incorporated the garage door buttons inside the truck! Test drove a 2012 sr something with some package installed like the tss edition or whatever, and it included garage door buttons so I assumed my 2016 Sport would have it. After driving it home from the lot, looked up and realized they didn't incorporate it. So dumb! Garage door buttons would have been way more productive/convenient than a gopro mount in a Sport! Smh :frusty:

I have a problem over-paying for anything, quality or not.
I want to pay what something is worth and not a dime more. The only time that I will end up paying more for my Ford than a Taco is if I need to replace half the truck. Won't happen and there's a Lemon Law if it does.
Toyota supporters tout reliability, which without a doubt Toyota does make reliable vehicles, BUT to imply that more money is coming out of my pocket for a less reliable vehicle, I'll heavily argue with.

I have that feature in my Fusion and will certainly miss it when my Tacoma comes in. Such a cheap and easy thing to incorporate.

Totally agree! I can't believe they overlooked it. I dont enjoy taking space up for a bulky, outdated remote. Oh well.

There is already too little difference between the TRDs and Limiteds (and limiteds use SR5 suspension}. So they added Homelink and some plastic chrome and the ugliest fake leather seats in the industry. The only reason I would have paid up for it is if I could not get the JBL system in my Sport.
