I want to wire a CB too and I was wondering if any of you guys have any experience with this one: http://www.amazon.com/Cobra-19-40-Channel-Compact-Radio/dp/B00083KUVS. I think I might go with this Cobra one. I went to Fry's and saw the Midland one for $25, but it looked and felt cheap. I also saw the Cobra one and it felt well-built.

 

I have two buddies that run that exact one and theyve never had any problems with that. The awesome thing about the 19 is that its so small and truly compact which makes cab placement easier.

As far as being cheap, etc, pretty much all the CBs are the same, its just the features that set them apart. Federal law allows for CBs to utilize only a limited amount of power so Unidens CBs are just as powerful as any other.

I can't remember the model that I have, but its a Cobra that has all the controls in the Mic. I just unplug it from the base and store it when its not in use and I like that feature the best.
Manny if you can install the CB, then we can get the install done quick with both of us working. We'll send Tri out to get some beers.

 

I think your talking about this one Roger, Cobra 75 WX ST. Same one I got. Installed it myself along with my Firestik yesterday.

 

Yeah thats the one. I just like that it doesn't sit in the car all the time. You'll be using that this weekend for sure.

Anyone know of a good local place to buy a firestuck and mount? I might put one in too. Still debating. Oh and how much?

 

I don't know where your located by I searched OC vigerously and couldn't find any except the cheap ones at frys. I would just order from right channel radios and it'll be here on time. Don't forget the mount, ~15 ft of coaxial cable, and the spring (optional).
