There also another way the vehicle will het a salvaged title. If the vehile is stolen and the owner is paid out on his claim then the vehicle is recovered. It will get a branded title that way

Well, well, well, DCSBFTMFW. I see you're being your usual kind and helpful self this fine evening. And, as usual, very entertaining. ;)

I was being helpful. I could link to an article about smart keys being a placebo for owners and any car thief better than a meth head can defeat them.

Or I could suggest Google and he could pick and choose as many as he likes.

    Whats everyones thoughts on this:

    Toyota Brand

    VIP Security RS3200+ - PT398-35121

    Part Number: PT398-35121

The TVIP RS3200Plus (Toyota Vehicle Intrusion Protection) is a complete vehicle security system with alarm and glass breakage sensor for vehicles that already have keyless entry with remote lock/unlock. The TVIP RS3200 offers three different alarm functions; break-in alarm, warn-away alarm and panic alarm. When armed, the vehicle's security system is activated immediately if forced entry of a side door (or the trunk) is attempted or if the glass is tapped or broken. The system's wide range of security and convenience features include: remote arming and disarming, automatic rearming and relocking, door ajar warning, interior light activation, rolling code technology and disabling of the starter.

vlodpg, I wonder if you've done any research to compare the Toyota OEM alarm system to other systems. I would think a good alarm system on a truck would cause a thief to look elsewhere for an easier target, one without an alarm system. I just don't like those false alarms. I've seen kids walking through parking lots and triggering car alarms just for meanness.

    Threadjack. My apologies.

Wrong. Spoke with my insurance agency and another one and got the same response. As long as the car isn't totaled then it's fine. The CARFAX though will show repairs.

Anyways, yeah it's going to be a long process. And I will post updates... The wheels and tires and scratched on passenger side so that will be a nice repair for them.

    More to come!

The bed looks crooked in that last pic. Have a place see if the frame is straight. That could add up to a nice fix to get it closer to being written off real quick
