    we responded to a smoke report way out in the boonies earlier this year. meth head city out there. rolled up to the fire as close as we could and started hiking in. less than 10 minutes heading up the hill, i shit you not we started getting shot at. i was talking to dispatch while it started and one dude stopped and was like what's that? having been shot at before i knew... i yelled that's fucking bullets flying past your head, get the fuck down. we took cover behind some big ass rocks and waited for the LEO's to show up... we had already requested law enforcement support once we figured out where we were heading but i instinctively reached for my carry piece once i heard those first couple zips fly by... too bad it was just a GPS there on my belt haha
