So I dropped by my moms house last night and my sister was watching a moving. The first think I said was why are you watching a bootleg movie the picture is so bad? It turns out she was watching a legit DVD. Anyone here spoiled on Blue Ray? I don’t think I can ever watch a regular DVD again.

Man, did you really mean to make this sound as snobby as it does?

In this day and age a lot of people are grateful to just be able to watch anything, let alone insist on a certain format.

I'm way to spoiled with Blu-Ray. I have blockbuster online movies and my default choice is Blu-Ray movie format. Love the clarity.

some of this, a little of that
Not so much the blu ray vs regular DVD as I have a hard time watching tv or movies on a standard def. tv over HD. I am not being snobby. :)

I've honestly never seen a movie Blu-Ray. I can't afford the player, so why torture myself?

I really like Blu ray. I have an upconvert DVD though, so the DVD picture is pretty good too. The difference isnt enough to ban DVD's all together though.

I don't mind SD DVD's. Most of my collection is such. I don't think they look bad, especially not to the point of looking like a bootlegged copy. I only buy Bluray if it's an action movie or something with alot of visual eye candy in it. Otherwise I just get SD. These days it's all I even really use my PS3 for anymore.

I don't have a Blue Ray player...yet. The wife was sitting in Best Buy while I was shopping the other day and noted how great Blue Ray looked...

So hopefully I'll be getting one soon.

none except for crappy hub caps and floor mats.
Well, I have a 10 year old TV ( old glass tube set) so it makes zero sense for me to buy a blue ray DVD player since it wouldn't make any difference.

Yeah I started noticing a lot of imperfection on the news anchors faces. I get headache watching movies on 120hz; I acutally perfer 60hz.

Tell me about it, I got my entertainment system before I bought my house and before my wife lost her job. The good thing is I only pay $20 a month to rent all of the blu-ray I want from block buster.
