This is exactly why they are charging however much they want for these trucks.

 

I had a dealer try to sell me a Tacoma. smh...

 

I would never buy a machine from a dealer like that.

 

Those idiots tried selling me a 14 for more than the sticker price back when I was looking. I asked tbe salesman for the best price. He pulled the "Gotta go check with my manager" routine. Came back higher than the window sticker. I turned and walked right out the door. Morons. I will never set foot on their property again.

 

Toyota is asking ludicrous amounts for these because it's the first real sheet metal change in a decade. The 4x2's are not $30K+ trucks. They're good quality, but it's just not $30k worth of vehicle.

 

They get you one way or another, brother. Trades take away so much of your bargaining power. I ordered my truck last week at near invoice. The two months or so will give me time to sell my car because I aint trading it. Tired of the insulting lowballs.

 

Compared to what? Had they given you price before?

 

Guy told me if I wanted a 14 or 15 they could give me a really good deal. Had to tell him I'm not in the market but in a year or so I will be. I was oh looks to to window shop.

 

No price from this dealer, but an offer from another dealer.

not when you are trading a Tacoma. Most dealers want used Tacomas

 

I was at a local dealer last Friday looking and they told me you can't get a Tacoma Double Cab with a long bed...short bed only. No wonder I never see any long beds on their lot...they don't even know they exist.

 

maybe they assumed you were asking about Limited. You must have been dressed fancy

 

Went by the dealership, met with the sales manager, we drove around back in a shiny new Silver sport while blasting the JBL stereo, checked out this very nice QuickSand Taco, which I'm looking to get in a limited, the best part was when he went to test drive my 07 trade in, he asked me to drive instead (due to the suspension) and we headed out, we rolled out behind the dealerships and found a big open area of all dirt, it is Directly behind the Nissan dealership, so I proceeded to rip the shit out of this little patch of desert gliding over the whoops, throwing slideways into these really long satisfying drifts, ALL Right IN Front Of The Nissan Guys ! ! ! The sales manager had this grin on his face and kept saying he couldn't believe how smooth the suspension felt. So when it's all said and done the manager agreed to take my suspension mods off my truck and have them installed onto the new 16 ! Once I close on the new house this is sooo happening. My 07 Taco isn't much, but I like her just the way she is and am geeked all the bolts ons are going onto the new whip ! !

Like I said she isn't much but here she is . . .
