yes, im far too lazy now a days to have a manual. Also they dont make them for me

 

168K and never turned with plenty of meat on them (3rd set of pads). So no, no problems whatsoever.

 

Some stop on a dime, others? Not so much. I'm in the 'not so much' category.

 

haha my wife was giving me shit for buying a manual and learning on it, now I'm trying to practice down shifting and rev matching and trying to get the hang of Heel-toeing and she's like...wtf is that stuff for? Woman...that's why we were changing your brakes all the time.

 

Anyone know of a reputable shop in the Bay Area that can do a cab mount chop? Even with just the 265/70/17 s it's running extremely close. Hard to tell because of the lighting but it's less than an inch between the tire and the mount.

 

Your rig looked nice, what bumper are you running? Pelfrey? We were going to my buddies to watch the Niners game... Fuck I wish I could un-see that game. Gonna be a long hard year for me.

 

When I first bought my truck I planned on destroying the brakes since I usually have a load and trailer over 5000lbs of boat. And now I'm at 38k and still have plenty of brakes left. I do downshift even with auto, but I have a set of cross drilled and slotted brakes with ceramic pads waiting to go on. But no need yet. I was figuring they would be toast by 30k the way I drive.

 

You actually can't heel toe on the 2015, or any current generation tacomas. during the recall to prevent "unwanted" acceleration, they chopped the accelerator pedals. they're shorter than they should be for proper heel-toeing.

 

I just did @the glen's cab mounts. I'm not a shop, but you can PM him to get his feed back on how they turned out. I can do your's if you'd like to drive north of Napa.

So yea, I'm getting random chips down to the primer on my hood and roof, which should not be happening, So i'm gonna have to hit up the dealer and find out why the paint is chipping for no reason.

 

My hoods covered in chips to the primer. My paints just old and faded. At least the fenders match the rest of the car
