:bananadance::bananadance::) I'll admit I was a lurker for quite sometime waiting for the new 2016's! You guys helped in my decisions tremendously!!!! Woot!!!
    From Irvine, CA

Picked up my Tacoma in Yuma AZ, found the color/model/price I wanted online and called the dealer. Haggled for a week, settled with a lil chunk discount off MSRP , but hey no dealer in SoCal had quicksand in stock ! Hence the drive to Yuma... 4 hour drive from Irvine passing SD. Anyway first impression (very quiet) cabin) compared to my FJ and the Mpg I recorded 22.4 at the highest. Moderate power, mostly kept is around 2k rpm (70mph) to break it in . Does anybody recommend a break in period ?

Anyway, love the color and I know, the 4x4 people are gonna bash but hey, I live in SoCal the most off-road I'm gonna see is bigbear? If that? Maybe pismo beach? I had a 4x4 07 FJ cruiser and honestly used the 4x4 three times!

Anyway what's a post without pictures? Nothing!!! Here ya go!
:bananadance: Wifeys Subaru , his and hers

Nothing wrong with a 4x2 if you aren't gonna need a 4x4. Looks clean! Congrats!

Beautiful truck. Another Quicksand Sport, perfect. BTW, Toyota Kearny Mesa in SD has a Quicksand Sport, but with $2K added plastic accessories.

How did you like the ride? I know you said quiet, but was the sport stiff? I bought my Prerunner in 2013 because I wanted a good daily driver but could still handle towing, carry bikes, kayaks, motorcycles, etc.

The limited research I did in 2013 said the Prerunner fit the bill for me. It certainly has.

I am looking to improve on that but I am not sold on the 2016 Limited. Might do a sport this time around.

It's a good ride, I imagine the Trd off-Road to be a little stiffer . Speed bumps and road bumps feel minimal I would say 7 out of 10 in ride quality .

Are you doing a 4x4 conversion and SAS? Cut below the taillights for the high clearance bumper.

Congrats on the purchase! That new Taco smell...
    • I'm guessing that this ($31,414) was your negotiated price, correct?
    • What was the MSRP, iydmma?
    • Any dealer options added?

MSRP sticker was $32,514, I expected to pay more due to demand but hey a discount is a discount, these damn so-cal dealers think they can get away with MSRP- NO DISCOUNTS. YUMA is a small city of about 80,000-90k and they were having trouble getting their inventory off the lot. Its worth the drive and not having to deal with some snott nose 22yr old Sales Rep :argue: at the so-cal dealers. (No offense) if anyone works at the dealer, some of these dealership salesmen come and go like a revolving door.
