Can the TRD bed stickers be removed without getting a new paint job. Are they under the clearcoat?
Thanks and who will be the first to piss in this thread?

Yes. Easy to remove. I swapped my OEM ones for all black decals.

Goo Gone and a little hair dryer. Then peel, and wash and wax the area.

Make sure to keep them and list them on the marketplace. I'm sure somebody out there will want them for their SR/SR5.

Peeled the stickers off with my finger nails. Came off in 5 minutes and I used 3M wax/grease remover to remove the sticker residue. Stickers came off easily without heat or chemicals. I just peeled up an edge and slowly pulled the sticker off.

    Yep.

Just like those tags on your mattress and other pieces of furniture that warn you not to. ;)

I did this as soon as I got it home from the dealer. Goo Gone worked so-so on the adhesive. I gave up with it after doing the driver side. What worked much, much better for me as isopropyl alcohol.

I then washed and waxed the truck.

As others have said they should come off pretty easy. A *little* heat helps - that can just be having the truck sit in the sun for an hour or so. Hairdryer works too. Be really careful with a heat gun - you could over do it easily.

Goo gone helps too - BUT be sure you get "Goo Gone" and NOT "Goof Off" which are often stocked near each other. "Goof Off" is acetone based and will destroy the paint on your car - more than one person on TW has made that mistake over the years. "Goo Gone" is perfectly safe and good for cleaning up any remaining adhesive from the stickers or any other "de-badging" you might do.

Personally I have to say the 3rd gen TRD stickers look even worse than the 2nd gen, but regardless both belong in the trash rather than on the side of the truck ;) Others' opinions may vary...

Peel off with fingernail as said above and WD 40 to remove adhesive while wiping off with a microfiber towel

Wish I knew what would take super glue off paint without ruining it.

I also just parked my truck in direct sunlight, let the decal heat and then peeled. Goo gone took care of the remaining glue.

Be careful with a heat gun, I would think a hair dryer to be sufficient if you choose to go that route

Any suggestions on where to get better bed decals? I really like the ones that have mountains running along the top.
