    They make the product here in Tampa, Fl. All car guys. I use their Speed wax along with their clay bar rag- It's like waxing and claying all in one and WOW- What a finish it leaves. I have even put on the windows.

    If I washed mine, all the scratches would be more visible. Can't have that.

    This is true. I think that's the reason I let the rain do it, it's never really clean enough to see scratches.

    I just do the basic stuff.

    - Turtle Wax bug remover for the big buggers I occasionally hit before I start and periodically between washes to keep them from sitting on there.
    - Armor All wash and wax. Probably going to get Meguiars next, the Armor All is okay, but nothing to write home about.
    - Eagle One spray wax to finish up.
    - Generic brand wipes for the windows. I've heard mixed reviews about RainX treatments.

    For the inside I just do a vaccum and wipe everything down with Armor All wipes.

    One thing I've learned is there is no such thing as enough microfiber towels. I have 10 of the suckers and still find myself needing one more. :D

    Bil 6112/5160's etc.
    Skip the Armor All Wash and Wax and instead go with Meguiar's Gold Class Car Shampoo. Beats any car wash I've ever used hands down.

    Also try Invisible Glass spray paired with newspaper instead of household window cleaners.

    Both can be had from your local Walmart.

    Armor All is hated or loved depending on who you ask. It's fine for hard plastics, but anything that absorbs tends to get sticky after an Armor All treatment. You'd be surprised what a little bit of water and a microfiber cloth will do to your interior to clean it up.

    For the art of mall crawling, "a dirty taco gets no soccer moms"
    I wash with meguiars car shampoo. Two buckets, one with soap, one to rinse
    Chamois off water
    Clay bar with lube for bugs and stubborn dirt.
    Wizards spay shine with micro fibers
    Clay bar the headlights and tail lights. Plexus plastic polish on those
    Prior to wax everything gets clay barred
    I wax it 4x a year
    Wax is colonites insulator wax (best I've found)
    Rain x on the glass
    303 on the interior

    Yes I'm OCD on my truck, yes this is why my used vehicles are sold almost instantly.

    Yes the mist. I don't think it has a protective use, but I get the major water off with a chamois and then use the mist with a microfiber to wipe it all down. I think it reduces swirls and it does leave a nice shine. I mostly like it in door jambs and logos where wax is a bitch to get off. The plexus is a badass product for the clear plastic lenses. My 2008 ridge line was never in a garage and they literally looked and felt new when I sold it. Most lenses get the fog and haze. I also love the 303 aerospace.

    I'm still in the honeymoon stage with the Tacoma....It gets cleaned very regularly. Prior to the Taco, I had a Dodge 2500 quad cab long bed gas guzzler. The closest it would come to having the interior clean was, I'd open all 4 doors, fire up the Stihl leaf blower and have at it! Exterior was a "rain only" thing. 11 years of dirt was a protective coating of sorts.

    That's all a dodge needs. You have all the time that you waste pulling wrenches on the "big three" rides to wash and wax. The engines are two stroke oil injected I think. Just pour in another quart. It was a jeep thing and I still don't understand.

    Me too. Drive, wash, wax, gas, drive.... These toyotas are so boring! No fuel pumps to replace, no power steering problems, the lights work... If this shit keeps up I might have to go fishing and show it who's the boss!
