Southern California offer/quotes

Trying to get a feel of what offers or quotes have been given around SoCal. I'm located in Orange County and all I'm hearing from dealers are msrp or above it. Any luck out there?

 

i went to toyota of orange and got told good luck getting anything other than msrp since they're in high demand right now, we'll see if i can haggle em down next month when the truck i want hits the lots. i also got a peek at the computer screen and it seems dealer price and msrp have a 2-3k difference, so they definitely have some play room.

 

Is all I have heard is the same that the will only do MSRP. I am located up in Goleta. Many say they can't even order them since I want a manual TRD Off road yet others say they can. It is interesting to hear something completely different from each dealership....I looked through the post offers thread and only found some in norther ca:

Sunnyvale Toyota in the Bay Area $750 over invoice
Freeman Toyota in Santa Rosa, California had two TRD OR's at 1200 under MSRP

I would be interested to hear if anyone else can get a deal on one around here.

 

Costco Auto Program: $500 over invoice at Frank Toyota in SD.

 

Has anyone been to the dealership to see what else they want to sell you?

 

They had a lifted TRD OR DCSB in Quicksand that I got to test drive (also had a taco lady - Tacomas and free tacos!!!) They had a Superwhite TRD OR DCSB tucked away in the back awaiting to be sent to their third party shop to get lifted as well.

This is where I'm buying from truck from. I got them $500 over without Costco however. There are also two other County dealerships at $500 over invoice, but they are douches. Out of all ten SD County Toyota dealerships, Frank is the least slimy.

 

I got $500 over invoice from Pasadena Toyota with no haggle. Highly recommend them! Let me know if you end up buying from them, maybe they will give me a referral discount

 

Are they willing to less holdback for you? I've asked them to knock off TDA and Holdback, but it seems like they won't budge.
My truck's delivery is slated for early Nov.

Did you get 500 over invoice on an order or a truck they had on their lot?

 

Looks like the norm is $500 over invoice. Not too bad. I am still going to wait a bit longer

 

They will not take either off. Any dealership I've dealt with for that matter on this truck.

I had to order mine because they did not have the truck allocated to them with the options i wanted. Should be here mid nov.

 

No dealer should give away Holdback...That's is too much to ask. Bring up holdback and you are likely will be allowed to exit the dealership without a deal. Rightfully so.

 

It's all opinion. You bring up hold back when they say they cannot come down from msrp.... We have families to feed

If they charge a TDA, you tell them you'll pay the TDA and will only pay 98% of whatever deal you stopped at

Dealers don't care about your families to feed. They care about profits, and THEIR families to feed..

As for TDA I never heard of that charge, probably bogus if it's regional

 

Sorry if it was mentioned but what truck did you get? I was looking for a TRD sport 4x4 prem/tech w/JBL. Wondering if they're giving that offer for any model.

 

TRD Offroad, 4x4, AT, Double Cab short bed, with premium & tech package (non jbl). They said the HH package (prem. & tech non jbl) was not being allocated to our region for some reason so they had to order it.
