I think what will be interesting is to see what happens to 2009+ trucks now. Dana bankruptcy was finished in 2008 and that was the cutoff for current frame replacement.
I was probably one of the first people complaining to Toyota that new trucks are having issue with frames. I remember even on that very forum many had questioned this, in the meantime here we are Toyota is replacing 2005-2008 truck frames.
My frame is replaced and I have additional 15 years warranty (until 2030). So now who is going to complain, whine, write letters, make calls take pictures ...etc...
I know one thing, resale value of a truck with big hole in the frame is $0

My shit is set... :humble:you are probably F...ed :bananadead:

You mean people "like" me.. (those that take no shit answers from anybody)
I think many people rather have people like me than like you. You are about as useful as cluster of warts on testicle. :D

I had 5 Toyotas rust out in 12 years so I moved to AZ...suggest everyone who wants a Gen 3 just move to AZ

Your vehicle will never rust in AZ. The dash will just melt

A little over 10% chromium makes metal officially stainless ( from memory..don't hold me to it.) This stuff will last generations with minimal care...and you're right, is expensive. But, just a few percent more for less then a couple hundred bucks and you have a frame or body panel that is relatively rust resistant for a decade. So, in reality, the auto companies have no intent of making cars anymore rust resistant then they are forced to. It will be interesting for those of you who live long enough, to see how the aluminum fords hold up.....we know the frames will rust...
