My Dad always told me that it's easier to change the brakes than the clutch.

Im already planning on replacing the clutch with a better one. And If you properly downshift and rev match and engine brake, youre not putting any extra wear on the clutch and keeping alot of wear off of your brakes

Exactly. I've had many manual transmissions over the years and have never had to replace a clutch.

gotta replace brakes at some point. Rather replaced brakes than a stupid clutch. I also prefer to not deal with shifting.

I'm probably about due. I have 90k miles on the original brakes. Mostly freeway but also a lot of bumper-to-bumper traffic.

Now if you can get drilled rotors AND paddle shifters we'd be talkin'

Yeah, been a die hard fan my whole life. What an embarrassment yesterday. I had seasons up until last year. Even did the Harbowl and everything. It's just depressing at this point. At least I went to the one win of the season...

That pelfreybuilt looked really good though. I would go that route if I ever upgrade the bumpers

No kidding. There were signs of progress at Levi's but then the wheels seem to have fallen off.

I just received my rear bumper. The build quality is great and installation a piece of cake. And it looks great too.

Ugh, driving through my parking garage with the new tires was a pain in the ass. Did the trimming yesterday but it's still catching. Thinking I might need to get some coil overs and put them on ASAP.

So test drove a 2016 dcsb 4x4 trd offroad in white with the bed cover and tow hitch. The exact truck my wife wants except she wants a blue. We tried to order a blue one and Toyota said they aren't even scheduled to build a blue one with those options yet so were at least 3 months out. The wife will not consider a white one. We test drove a jeep Cherokee trail hawk fully loaded. I was hesitant at first but that thing has stuff I didn't know existed and for $4000 they will warranty it bumper to bumper as long as we own it. I have to admit. Its the same price as the Tacoma but it makes more sense for us. It can tow my trailer, gets 26 mpgs, has skid plates, a lift, AT tires, v6, 4x4, a diff lock, leather, navi, glass roof, subwoofer, vented seats, heater seats, heated steering wheel, push button start, remote control, you can start it from your phone and defrost the windshield, multi traction modes, and a lot more. I don't know. Im trying to stay on the Tacoma side but its pretty impressive and makes more sense for us as a family.

Remember the new Tacoma is untested too. Don't know what issues are going to pop up with those either.

I'm with Nick. I will never get rid of my 1st Gen. But if I was out shopping, it would probably be a Jeep Rubicon. Wife wants an SUV, and that's what comes to mind.:crapstorm:

New Tacoma with all the options was 40,000 MSRP same as a fully loaded trail hawk. That's a lot of money. At least I wouldn't build the Jeep... Tacoma would be built and I would be broke.
