$34192 should be your target That is INvoice plus $500 Anything over $500 is pure profit for the dealer.
INVOICE is around $33692 using retail for the roof rack Plus your tax and title fees. $40k I highway robbery I would check out Colorado. Those deals look good.

Check your state's DMV site for any laws or limits on various fees. You might find something along the lines of a "car buyer's bill of rights." For example, in California, doc fee is $50 max.

Also avoid getting porked out of $160 for a TRD exhaust tip, which I saw recently on a sticker...lol.

    Tacoma bedmat is 160.

This one was $89 at a local truck accessory store. Includes an embedded cutting guidline for short beds, if you happen to be a loser and get one of those.

I like the Tacoma bed mat, but you know what I did? I went to the carpet store and pulled some scrap carpet out of their dumpster and cut it to size. Works great. (this is only pic I have of it under my air mattress but you can see it).

Looks like USAA/Truecar are getting pricing info in, at least in my area.

I came up with $34,072 for this build...invoice + $500 over + $900 destination. For the dealer I'm going through, they also added the following:

    $450 TDA
    $400 doc
    $570 license
    + 0.085 sales tax.

If that's the roughly same for you in your area, a good price IMO would be ~$38,508 OTD. Of course, license/doc/taxes may vary where you are...

Gotchya. I figured it would be in that area somewhere. I would probably throw about $15k as a down payment so that would lower my payment substantially. Thanks for the help guys.

A 34K invoice should never cost $40K with taxes
