    Lots of Canada's electricity is already produced by Hydro-electric so I think that skews the whole grid toward the low GHG factor too

    I don't think there is any carbon offsets in the numbers involved . A cap and trade system is just being developed by Quebec and Ontario , currently there is no national plan , although it is one of the NDP's platform proposals

    Had a black bear mom with two cubs do that to a scanoe alongside our cabin first Summer up here. Then she proceeded to rifle through a rubbermade bin on the porch (containing life vests and such -- probably smelled fishy), followed by pressing her nose up against the window in the door; think she was waiting to be invited in for a cup of the coffee I was drinking. I'll have to look for that photo (non-digital) Kristi took of the nose print on the window. That was the moment Kristi firmly announced she would not be tent camping with me up here. :notsure: A few of the tent campers in the adjacent field had a "tight spinchter" moment. ;)

    Our encounter, the bear didn't actually tear up the scanoe, just rolled it looking for vittles.

    And I had to stop that recording 1+26 in; surprised the bear didn't leave with that woman's whining screeches ... Pepper spray must have pissed 'em off. :laugh:
