It's OK, at your age I realize that when you get 2 day shipping from Amazon that it "must be local". I primed that shit too because it was about 8 bucks per book savings and i bought 3 of them two colorado one moab

Ventured out to Wheeler Lake for the first time yesterday with 3378jakesr5 and a couple Jeeps. Managed to make my way up the "V" with some assistance. The scenery was spectacular and we couldn't have asked for better weather. Sorry for the poor photos, we all relied on iphones.

    Approaching the V.

Who needs a front locker when you have 350lbs of assistance?!

I did park there and out of respect I will not do that again. But what is not seen is the trash that was picked up from the site as well

I don't mean to be a jerk sorry if it comes off this way. Picking up trash and such is awesome, mall crawling / parking for poser shots on old mining site ruins is not however cool. We are always in jeopardy of our public lands being shut down so we like to keep them open to the public for outdoor recreation for a long time to come. Tons of information on these sites

Great attitude. You could have responded to Phil in many different ways but this was great. You efforts in picking up trash is very much appreciated as well.

I look forward to meeting up with you sometime and wheeling!

Thanks Gramps, everyone should own up to their mistakes no matter the outcome. I have learned that lesson a while ago. In no way do I want any of the trails to be closed because of some stupid thing I did or any of us for that matter.
I will take you up on that sir! I was the only taco on the hill stuck with jeeps and more jeeps

Couple pics from Longwater Gulch on Sunday. Didn't get a chance to run Metberry but we had fun exploring and flying around the quad. Went out a new way so got to explore some new roads. Also found the place where they mine for gems (there's a show about it on the Weather Channel). Came across a few people digging, one of them I feel like I recognized from the show, they seemed like they weren't too happy about our presence so we moved along lol.

    Felt exactly like this:

Metberry and Hackett are some good trails to always run.

I assume they are. There's no more signs or gate blocking the trail where it used to be. We also went on a run a little while back with Colorado 4x4 and they had an organized trail run all the way down to the river and I would think they would know.

New roads as in new to us lol

Are there any trails that connect on the back side of the river? Those trails, while not difficult allowed you to connect Longwater and Hacket to make a better day trip. Down Hacket then up Longwater.
