    i totally agree with you about the LTFT's going down after removing the eco block, and also about the mpg's going up after removing it. i need to send this thing back lol.

    The purpose of the Ecoblock never been to lean the mixture in closed loop. It lean it in open loop only and in closed loop it is supposed to move you on the timing map cause of the different (lower) MAF reading.

    A higher LTFT doesn't mean that you're consumming more fuel.

    About the results, to know if it raise or not the MPG, i can't say cause never use it.

    I don't keep hard data on MPG's. I monitor my Scangauge. I average about 17.5 MPG on the way to work. Oddly enough, today was 15.5. I was more curious about feeling a difference in power. Today it felt a little lathargic. I'll continue to monitor throughout the week.

    For those that are getting check engine lights, did you request the the larger o-ring, which fits tighter eliminating air leaks?

    A higher LTFT definietly means you are consuming more fuel.... if the system on a long term average is adding 10% more fuel to its base map vs 3% (that i typically see given the mild temperatures and sealevel driving i do).... you are adding 7% extra fuel to the base map given the sensor readings.

    The ecu is simply compensating for the slightly less than designed air readings at the maf by compensating with extra fuel getting you right back to where you started.

    All in all my truck is running a lot better without the eco block.... it wont be going on my truck.

    Sorry but no.

    It only means that the ECU need to add fuel to maintain the correct AFR, let say 14.7. If your not entering more air, you dont need more fuel. With the ecoblock it's normal to have higher fuel trim cause moving the MAF sensor in the flow path reduce the reading of it. Without fuel injection loop you will normaly run leaner (and it's the case in open loop) but the ECU will correct the fuel injected to maintain 14.7 AFR.

    It's only a compensation like aiming a bit left of the target cause your riffle shooting a bit right.
