1st gen's are completely different than the 2nd gens. 1st gens have a bearing cartridge pressed into the spindle and the hub presses into that.

No bolt on option for you, sorry.

What did you change on your set up besides get ARP studs as for your set up? What caused the studs to snap?

I have had this set up for the last two years with the same vibration too. When I balance my tires the vibration goes away for awhile and then it comes back. If it's been this way for two years don't you think the studs would've broke or something would've happened by now? Two years is quite a long time.

I was using this set up for the past 3 years, the vibration started a year ago and got worse slowly until one day it got really bad while driving on an already very bumpy freeway and by the time I realized something was breaking I went to pull over and SNAAAP! I was running a 285/70/17 with wheel spacers and I did some very mild offroading, but I did buy it used with 60k on it so god only knows the story before I bought it. Ive seen this happen to other Tacoma's, mostly the 2nd gens , but seems the stock lugs aren't designed to handle the extra load from lift/tires

I also just recently replaced the lower ball joints and tie rods at the same time and it helped with the vibration immensely!!

Yeah I replaced my tie rod ends & CV axles too. I'm only running a 265/75/16 tire.

I am running a 265/75/16 tire. I have the diff drop installed to help the angles of my CV axles. I have replaced my tie rod ends and all the bushings in my steering rack. Plus the UCA's. I'm running 1.25" Spidertrax wheel spacers too with 16x8 Method double standards. It only vibrates between 60 - 70mph so I think it's a tire balancing issue. Thanks for the info.

I have installed the 1/2" longer Dorman studs for guys using a wheel spacer. it helps with thread engagement which I believe is the reason the studs snapped in your case, along with the heavier tire.
