Yea it would take a lot of money for me to part with Frank...like..way too much.

I still think the 2016s are putrid.

 

Was not a fan until I saw one in person. I am a changed man now.

Give it time, when all the aftermarket stuff comes out I'm sure it will help ease the shock of the snout.

 

They look pretty small in person. The inside is very neat and simple too. Once someone takes care of the front bumper/grille I think more people will want one.

 

It only took a month but I got a check for a full refund for the axle bearing, seal and installation expenses I incurred in Canada.

 

YEa...idka..i hate the large grill. And they way they made the front end making bumpers will be challenging. Ive only seen 1 bumper for the 6th gen 4runners thats good.

About to jump on the DSM group buy for kings in the rear and bamfs relocation kit. Any reason I shouldn't get on this? Price seems good. I'll have to wait on the header but whatever, I'd like my rear suspension to perform better.

 

BAMF relocation kit for 2nd gens...is that the outboard one? For like a 12'' shock?

 

Well it would certainly be a hell of a lot better than what you have now haha Not a nice looking as the Pelfrey one like Marcs but still be nice.

Saw one the other day while driving home on my lunch break. They do look pretty good in person. They have their flaws just like everything else...but overall, I think Toyota did well. They will grow on me more over time.

 

Yep, his kit for a 12'' shock. The group buy packages his kit (welded or not) and King 2.0 with remote resi from DSM. They will valve it the best they can based on the information you give them (type of driving, weight in bed, etc).

I wont post the pricing as they don't want it on the forums but it is far more affordable than pelfrey in the end. Not as pretty but it's not an eye sore either.

 

Yea id say its a nice kit if its a good deal. Be more than enough for you. Probably need new leafs to boot.

I meant who is going to weld it on for you. Has to be welded to the actual truck.

 

Yeah, I forgot to address that question. I was just explaining the kit. As for who will weld it...not sure. It won't go on right away so I will have time to look for a local welder or get in touch with someone in colorado that would be willing to lend a hand. I might need new leafs but Ill hold off until I know for sure.

Winch or suspension. Tough decision for me but I think the winch might win this battle with winter upon us.

 

I didnt get the pelfrey kit because it was prettier. I got it because it plated the frame and gave me air bumps. Was more but the air bumps have been totally worth it. I'd get a winch before suspension Gage if i were you given what you do. The winch paid for itself the first time I had to use it. I litterally would have been screwed without it that day I got stuck in that alkali flat.

Are you looking for more travel specifically or just better ride quality in the rear Gage? @BabyTaco

 

I am mostly looking for better ride quality on the dirt roads that we typically bomb down out here. The front feels great with the ORI's but the rear is sluggish. I am not looking to reach top speeds, just to smooth it out a bit on the bumpier roads. I really haven't needed any extra travel yet...maybe in a select situations where I took a more challenging line.

The winch is by far the smarter choice. I play in the snow a bit much to not have one. Plus the MTR's have gotten me close to several ditches during winter storms. The only thing I hate about purchasing a winch is the drastic gap in pricing. I can go cheap with smittybuilt and pray it works every time or spend more money on a higher end winch that is known to perform time and time again. I am not sure I would want to put my trust in a company like smittybuilt to rescue me when I find myself buried to the frame with no one around.
