It's comments like these that show the stupidity and lack of knowledge about these trucks from some of the new 3rd gen guys.

That sounds amazing. I'm sure it could be taken apart and painted. If so, an sr5 could do the same thing? Although I think this time the TRD models actually have better displays that are bigger. I don't remember details but I remember there being an actual reason to get the TRD models in 3rd gen, whereas in 2nd Gen it was all stuff to be replaced or could be added anyway pretty easily.

I plan on putting in JBL speakers or something better in on my own. I can do that a lot cheaper than the tech upgrade. I can even take it to someone and do it for cheaper. I didn't want any of the other options myself except for the moonroof would be nice, but this will be my year round vehicle, I have a moonroof in my summer car. :) Will keep people posted on my audio upgrade as I figure out what I can and can not do.

    Thank you!
Actually, I'm not stupid and I have plenty of knowledge considering I've owned a 2nd gen (2013), and loved it by the way. If all some people want to comment on is how ugly the 3rd gen is, then go back to your 2nd gen threads. I'm not a NEW 3rd gen guy. This truck is still a TACOMA, the whole reason all of us are here. Quit bitching and whining! Some like the 2nd, some like the 3rd. Who cares!

And btw, I do think the 2nd gen, whatever year you have, is old and dated...at least compared to the 2016. That doesn't mean I don't like the 2nd gen's though at all. I would be buying a '15 if it weren't for the '16

Seeing that the 3rd generation is an evolution of the 2nd. Yes both are great trucks I just call out those kettles that call the pot black with hate between gens both fans are equally to blame on one sideness. The 3rd gen is far from flawless as some want to believe and time will prove this same as with issues in 1st and 2nd gens, this is my 4th Tacoma. 00,08,11 and current 15

Jesus Christo......What in the actual fuck is the damn argument around here?

It's the internets. Opinions are not only allowed, but encouraged. The sections for each Gen don't require you own one, and telling anyone to stay in a certain section isn't going to get you anywhere. They are OPEN to anyone.

People hate my truck....think its ugly....I don't really care. People think the 2nd Gen is better than the 1st Gen, (I know, crazy right? Everyone knows the 1st Gen is the best Toyota has or will produce, ever.) and yet I still....don't care.

Most don't even own the damn 3rd Gen, yet are defending it like they would their last bit of food in a famine.

    So silly.

I still think it's much easier to navigate threads when there is no childish banter. It's making the third gen section almost useless because half of each thread is filled up with stupid comments by people who don't even plan on buying the damn truck!

It will die down once we get some in house vendors making grilles and bumpers and people start throwing tents on top and shit. But, lets be honest here, if this was Nissan's new offering of the Frontier, EVERY SINGLE PERSON ON THIS FORUM WOULD MAKE FUN OF THAT GRILLE.

Again, once we get some heavily modded versions on the forum (with pics, you know, 'cause worthless without and whatnot), it will die down. Also, some real world efficiency ratings coupled with towing responses will help. It's early....and change is scary.

I am sure all the 80 years old and older are itching to get new 2016 Tacoma. Sync the hearing aid to Entune..
