Got the switches in. I don't have anything in mind for switch 6, so I bought the passenger eject rocker for laughs. When I figure out what I want, I'll buy a new rocker.

The backup light and backup camera switches are dpdt. The other four switches are spst. And damn this auto correct.

few questions if you dont mind me..

    what year is your truck?

to notch out the sunglasses holder, how did you take out the sunglass holder? or did you have to take out the whole upper console?

Where all 6 switchbacks able to fit okay without any issues?

Did you tap into the truck's dimmer lighting?

I am wondering if all sunglass holders are the same. I plan on installing my switches up there, just want to make sure i can fit 6 switchbacks in there..

Remove one or two screws inside the holder. Its been over two years from when I removed the screw/s and can't remember if one or two. Grab the front edge (near windshields) and pull. It will snap out. Unplug the map light and any other wires that might be up there. Slide the console forward, and it's free. I had to trim most of the top of the sunglasses holder in order to have enough room for the wire plugs to fit. The part of the sunglasses holder that I trimmed had the screw holes. These are the holes for the screws I removed. The screws are not needed. As I said above, I've had the screws out for over two years, and have been to Moab twice. No problem.

    I have a 2012.

I will tap into a fuse under the dash. This will give me power for the switches' lights and power to the switches that will activate the relays. This is the red wire. I think if I use the tail light fuse, I will have power anytime the lights or park lights are on. And if I forget to turn anything off, they will go off when the key is turned off and the driver's door is opened. If you are using the switches for something besides lights this plan probably won't be a good plan. I have to think a bit more on powering the backup camera. There are a couple of write ups I've been looking at.
