this weekend. The first one in Maryland I think. I did not test drive it because the wheels were still wrap in plastic. It was a SR5 4cyl, 4x4, grey. The overall new design of the interior is real good. The seats are a lot more comfortable than the gen2. I am 6.0 tall and weigh 218 and had plenty of leg room and head room. I also like that the steering wheel you can adjust to move toward you or away from you. Keep in mind this was only a SR5 and it did not have all of the high tech upgrades. One thing I did notice about the interior which I think is a very big disappointment is that Toyota put the power brake handle next to the center console. This reduces center console space. They should have just kept it like it was on the gen2. You would have a lot more console space to store things. I could use as much storage spece as I can get. What the hell were they thinking. Anyway, when they get in a 4x4 6cyl Sport or OR I will test drive and maybe that will make me forget about the console storage space.

No actually I could use the extra storage space for knives, extra business cards, meds when I am away from home, and some small tools.
By the way, you seem like you know a lot about sanitary napkins. You might want to share this information on a cheerleaders or strip club forum. We are talking Tacomas on this forum.

Saw a TRD OR yesterday...didn't get to drive it as it was not prepped. Looks like the Nav screen is still going to be a PITA as they didn't shroud it at all and it sits about like in the 2nd gens. Unless it is a much brighter screen it looks like you will still have the visibility issues when it is real sunny out. Also, will be interesting to see where folks put a brake controller as the pockets under each side of the steering column are gone and another airbag is now in that place (for knees and shins? not sure on that one). Also doesn't look like there were any wires or cables etc to the rear for the "locker" and the dealer could not find any info on it....booklet says it is an "Electronically Controlled Locker", would be nice to know if it actually has a real mechanical locker like the old ones, or if the "Locker" is actually computer controlled stuff. Grill doesn't look as bad in person, though I think it would look better without the chrome surround piece. Looks like they actually have some decent tires to replace the old Rugged Trails which is nice. Still no Hood Struts, but hey, you get a Go Pro Mount! Me, I'd let them keep the GP Mount in exchange for hood struts. Also, the salesman pointed out that the rear bumper chrome pieces are now plastic, with little or no backing....not sure how well those will survive! Maybe they will deal some on price when they have more available, but right now they seem to be getting MSRP and selling them as fast as they get them in. The TRD OR I looked at was about the same price as my 15 Pro, so they aren't cheap. Will go drive one in a couple of weeks when I get back in town. From a simple sit in it and look around experience, it seems the cab is pretty much the same size / shape as the 2nd gen with new sheet metal on the front and bed. Tailgate is much thicker so hopefully they have beefed it up so it doesn't have the bend issues of the 2nd gen....easy / soft open feature is nice, pop and drop! Also if you get the tow package the socket is in the step part of the bumper so it will now survive, and they give you both a 4 pin and7 pin sockets so you don't need to get adapter. Some stuff seems well thought out, and some makes me say WTF. All in all it looks better in person than it does in the pics I had seen. The one I saw was MG looked nice.

Looks like another P.C. fanboy is offended because someone has a minor issue with the truck.

You probably had really good things to say but the lack of paragraphs make it tough.....
