im right where college turns into 40 before that gas station heading out of town and in the same exact boat, depends on work, but probably plan on heading out by 12, I know the gates close at 7 so we need to get there before. Are you doing camping or full experience?

I will be at the expo on Friday. I want to go for the whole weekend, but my prior engagements wont allow it. Next year, I will be camping the entire weekend.

Okay guys, quick question. Trying to troubleshoot what's going on here.
I have a Pioneer AVH-x2700BS that was previously installed in my truck and today I got my pioneer avh-4000nex.
I swapped it over and just plugged all the existing wires in and the head unit powered up as supposed to.

When it came to the selecting language, the touch screen would not work to select an option, none of the buttons would either.
Finally after about an hour it decided to work and clicked next and it went to start up screen.

Once again, the touch screen stopped and will not work.

    Any ideas?

I've looked up the harness for each of them and they're the exact same. Both say it will work for the other model in the description.

The harness should have no effect on the screen use, as long as it's getting power the touch screen function should work no matter what.

There are no individual wires that would affect it?

Try using the wiring it came with. It's annoying but if that's not the issue its the screen. I just went from a double to a single din the other day and had to rewire for it

Shouldn't be, the wiring harness is just 12 volt constant, 12 volt switched and ground. Everything else would be speaker wires and options like power antenna. As long as the main ones are hooked up and the unit gets power any malfunctions would be internal to the unit

I don't have the harness that came with it, but I looked them up and they are the exact same harness. Both are interchangeable and have the same wires on them.

I'm stumped then. I'd hate to think a member up here sold me a fucked up radio. :/
