my buddy has a 2009 trd sport and it has 65000 miles
the driver side hub bearing went out so he replaced it and reset the ABS

he says the ABS breaking and traction control are giving him problems and he said its acting funny when he takes off

i dont know the slightest thing about abs problems like this and we dont know where to begin to fix the problem. Has anyone else experienced this issue? any help is appreciated

To reset, he bridged the connections under the dash to reset the ABS light on the dashboard

Sounds like the jumper wire method to recalibrate the VSC

    !!!UPDATE!!!

when he drives it down the road, and gets on the brakes, the steering wheel shakes violently and the whole truck swerves. it drove fine until the hub bearing was replaced. anyone have any ideas as to what might be causing this???
by the way this is a daily driver and used to get to and from work. any quick responses would be greatly appreciated. thanks in advance!!

Hes bringing it to the dealership either in a few minutes, or tommorrow morning depending if he makes it there before they close today

Only thing i can think of, is that the ABS sensor is messed up, causing the brakes to be applied to one side of the vehicle when the brake pedal is pushed: which would account for the steering wheel flying around inside the cab

come to find out, the front PASSENGER side ABS sensor had grease on it, which was causing the computer to get a false signal. meaning that the computer thought the front passenger side tire was rolling alot slower than the rest of the tires; causing the ABS system to try to slow all other three wheels down to the same speed as the front passenger wheel. craziness

instead of replacing the sensor, we just pulled the ABS fuses. no more ABS, no more issues.

Doesn't that mean no more VSC , no more ALSD as well
