All of those issues stem from using the truck as not intended?? So you don't drive your truck? You mean like on the road, or in the snow, or towing something, or putting your lights on, or listening to your stereo, or having 2 grown men sit on a tailgate, and on and on. Like I said... I have never seen a truck this bad out of the box. You need boxes of parts to fix all the weak links on these.

I've never had a truck with rear window defrost. Maybe on the F550 Lariat, but I don't think so.
That's 5 GM 3/4 tons since 1998 and an F550 Lariat Screw, and a Tacoma. So quite a bit of price variance and trim variance. Don't remember any having rear defrost.

Coincidentally, none of those were minivans.

They do. Usually depends on the angle of the snow but I've gotten ice and snow on my rear window. Then once you brush it all off any snow in the bed blows up and sticks to it when you start down the road.

Uh, when I drive through snow or anything super dirty, I go get a fuckin car wash afterwards to keep the crap from building up, which causes, wait for it, RUST. It's called taking care of your vehicle. Don't know how lights have anything to do with it. My stereo's have always worked just fine...if something breaks...That's what warranty's are for. Tailgate is a known issue, I spent $150 and now have steel reinforcement I can park my motorcycle on with zero issues. And for the record, i used to throw my motorcycle in the back anyways, prior to the reinforcement, never had an issue.

And again, I love all the keyboard warriors that jump in here to talk shit on the TACOMA FORUM, About a truck that they own...like you're gonna sell it anytime soon. Cry all you want, we all know we bought an excellent truck, that has known issues, but are MUCH better than alot of the recalls other trucks have. So yea, all your gripes are either self inflicted, or #firstworldproblems

I'll give my .02 cents, but since I'm in Canada it won't be worth a damn thing...ah fuck it. I'm sick as a dog and I'm too damn tired. In short though it seems like most of your complaints are about preference. I will say this, for someone who doesn't like their truck you have spent a load of money on it. Sounds like you hate the thing as much as I hated my 2014 Santa Fe - don't get me started on that fucking thing, I took an $11K hit just to get rid of it. Best $11K I've ever spent.

Did you not notice ANY of these things when you drove the truck?

Good gawd volcom. Its like maybe you have been making love to your Tacoma and he just called it fat, ugly, and covered in scabs. Perspective man...perspective. A truck can't love you back no matter how nobly you defend it's honor.

Meh, I just get tired of all the hypocrites that talk shit on the trucks. If it's so bad, go sell your truck, go get an ecobust and move on with life, never looking back at the Turd Tacoma. And then in 5 years, when you're out of money from repairing your American made truck, you can sell it for half what you bought it for and realize how great these trucks are.

Get the relentless, KB Voodoo, or Mobtown offroad tailgate reinforcement. Regear to 4.10s. You must have bought some extremely heavy or aggressively treaded tires because simply going to 285s shouldn't hurt anything that much. Get the TRD exhaust if you think it sounds like a weed whacker (Which was test drive material along with the touchscreen)

As for the seat, TRD seats are said to be more comfrortable. Adjust the lumbar. My tailgate is fine, my power is fine, the sound is fine, and my seats are fine. I'm actually surprised you didn't mention road noise which is a more plausible complaint.

These trucks are weak plain and simple. Sweet your stereo works, do a simple search and count the posts about the pretty common problems. Oh wait... if you don't have problems then no one does. Toyota quality is not what is was. Its people like you that take the dry fist of Toyota and keep on smiling. So ya, you can keep sticking your head in the sand as a Toyota fanboi or make a mental note of what not to buy next time. I made a mistake, I am a big enough idiot to admit it.

Well there's the problem for you folks south of the border, Canadian Tacoma's come with a life time supply of KY, if water based lube isn't good enough you can opt for the extended warranty and instead of KY you get some silicone based ID Platinum. No dry fisting here.

I forgot to mention, If you buy the TRD B.C edition you get an ounce of weed with your truck. Smoke that shit and all your hates and worries just melt away........................ere.
