    I was also thinking about tinting my windows. Who would do that?

    I think they are 285/70/17. The lift is a spacer and block lift, I think Chris said it was 3" in the front and a 1" block in the rear. @Letsgoplaces - was it a revtec lift?

    So, my flame suit is on. I haven't searched much...

    What do most of you guys prefer? Is the coilover overkill? It won't see tons of off road time. But I don't mind spending the money if it's worth it. I plan to spend some time lurking old threads this weekend

    Oh... shifty lift, hope they don't mark it up much. Sounds about right though. The 285s look good.

    @Gingerbeard Man

    I'm no expert on the Taco, never owned one but I'm a pretty big suspension enthusiast and have a good amount of experience with them on other vehicles. I've done a decent amount of research on the Taco in the last couple months because I'm seriously considering a 3rd gen, heres my 2 cents since I'm here.

    Best you can do is long travel kit - $5000+ (total chaos, camburg, etc) way overkill for street, most require fenders, best used to jump in the dunes. ~3" lift with loads of travel 10"+

    Next best is mid travel - $1000-$5000. This is extended travel coilovers up front with UCA's and full leaf pack replacements out back with extended shocks to match. Some of the top tier brands for these are King, Icon, Fox, Camburg, Sway-A-Way, and Deaver (leaves). OME and Bilstein are also options here and seem to be priced cheaper. Lots of options in this category and price can vary a lot. If you don't mind spending the coin and want a quality lifted Taco this is where you should look. The more you spend the better the ride more or less.. eventually you start paying for more ruggedness and off-road ability. I prefer King, Icon and Deaver but thats just me. A setup in this category should provide better than stock offroad capabilities while retaining decent street manners. At 3" lift (max for this setup) you can fit 285/70/17s with little to no rubbing. Anything bigger will rub.

    Cheapest is spacers up front and blocks out back. I don't even know the price because I'd never consider a set up like this but I can't imagine it'd be much since they are literally just blocks of metal.

    I definitely will not be going cheap. I don't cheap on my builds, won't for my wife either. Seems many are happy with emu and 5100s and the pro comp?

    Yes sir
    I'd say more love towards OME with 5100's or the OME shocks than there is towards pro comp. I love my OME setup. Never had pro comp but I've heard some guys say they like it and some some it rides poorly.

    Pro comp is garbage in my opinion. OME and Bilstein seem to be pretty popular on here but they are cheaper. Probably good bang for your buck but if you want the best and have the coin take a look at some of those top tier brands I mentioned.

    I currently have an icon stage 4 setup and am very happy with it, but as others have said, it comes at a price. My coilovers and shocks both have the compression adjusters on the resi's which will allow you to fine tune the ride quality to your liking. That said, for the money, the 5100's with eibach springs and an add a leaf are certainly a solid option. For me, since I already spent the money, I am transferring all of my icon stuff from my 2012 to my 16, just makes more sense to keep it and put in some labor than replace it all together.

    I have about 2500 budget to spend. I'd like that to include tires. I'll probably rock the stockers for now. Last I looked retail was around that for icon. I ran ride tech coilovers on my Sierra and loved it. Just trying to decide if that shit isn't too much for a mall crawler. I'm starting to think it may be overkill.

    What other shocks are you guys having good luck with? I haven't looked into lift stuff in years. Everyone on the gm forums prefer bilstein. Unless upgrading to fox etc

    Billies are good, the 5100's are very popular and I've only heard positives on the bilstein 6112's. I really like my OME shocks, N182's in the rear and 90021's in the front I think it was.
