    Nice! What are the particulars?

    Is this your first bike?

It's got 11000 miles and the guy wants $6500 due to it being the end of the riding season here. Its red so I'm gonna consider dipping it white. Also need to put aside $500-750 to take it to Ducati and have them look it over/do maintenance since its gonna sit for a while in about a month.

Its not my first bike. I used to own a ninja 250. I know this one is bigger but it should be something I'll be satisfied with for a long time instead of getting a 600/650 then wanting something bigger. I'll never get a liter bike lol

I'll hit you up later but if you haven't already go on the Ducati forums and do a little background research on that year 848 for any issues. It may not be a bad idea to negotiate with the seller to have him take it to the dealership for an inspection. That way you know any issues or upcoming maintenance that needs to be addressed prior to buying the bike. If the seller balks at that then maybe there's something about that bike that might come back and bite you in the rear.

True! That goes with buying almost anything that can get inspected too

I read over some forums. Seems to be a voltage regulator issue in some bikes but there was a recall so I'll check on that. Then some people said the bike will stall sometimes. Seemed less people with issues than without so that's a good sign especially since forums are where people go to post their issues.

And yes Dennis, of course. It'll be even better when I buy my first house next year (I'm still moving I just want something that I get some equity in)

    http://houston.craigslist.org/mcy/5223837750.html $4200
    http://houston.craigslist.org/mcy/5230401116.html $8k for a practically new bike
    http://houston.craigslist.org/mcy/5177834805.html $6k and has 5500 miles
    http://houston.craigslist.org/mcy/5214717103.html he would take $4600

Idk how experienced you are (in years of riding) but I personally wouldn't buy a $7k+ bike because you will more than likely lay it down. Everyone has laid a bike down at one point or another, it's not really you either .. it's the other drivers on the road or a sandy / gravel spot when turning that will get you.

I was looking at CBRs and R6s as well. I have some riding experience and I understand at some point you are very likely to lay a bike down. I've just always wanted a Ducati for whatever reason and this is an opportunity to own one. We will see once I check it out though.
