Little red riding hood was on her way to Grandmas house when the big bad wolf jumped out from behind a tree and said "Now I've got you red! I'm going to hike up the pretty little dress, rip off your pretty red panties and fuck the shit out of you'. Little red riding hood reached into her basket, pulled out a gun, and said 'nope, you're gonna eat me just like the book says'.

Never heard a weed whacker that sounds like a stock tacoma, I'll take quiet over a fart box.

Im sure auto lock can be disabled if it really is the end of the world to you, and maybe you're just too slow

Try getting a lumbar pad for support.

Go to the dealer for your wipers, I have never experienced this issue one both my 2011 prerunner and 2015 4x4.

Never had an issue with the tailgate, as previously stated it can be reinforced for fairly cheap if you are truly worried.

I live in California so no rear defroster is not a deal breaker to me, as I was also aware it didn't have one when I test drove the vehicle.

"Way too small" is an exaggeration. It seems okay to me, maybe work on hand eye coordination.

Im running 285's, was expecting some low end power loss. Still has plenty of get up and go if I need it, but I'm light on the pedal to try and get the best mpg's within reason.

Get rid of it if you don't like it instead of aimlessly whining about something you don't seem to be trying to change.

My 3500 Dodge has a rear window defroster......(and a HEMI too)

It stickered for $48,000+ and is a giant piece if shit gas hog that's almost impossible to fit in a parking spot. But at least it has a clear rear window on icy days.

All things equal, I'll drive my weed whacker Taco with a frosty rear window.

Like my wife told me about the Dodge...."Quit complaining....You're the dumbass that bought it in the first place. If you don't like it, sell it and buy something else."

@AgentRS Way to make an impression disclosing your displeasure on TW. How dare you upset the trolls :). Don't know why there's so much hate for the dude expressing his disappointment. I've had mine for two months now and was disappointed with it within the first month due to vibration issues. I've taken my truck back to the dealer several times(5x, but only documented as 3) for vibrations/shudders/shakes whatever the fuck you want to call it. Even got new wheels and tires...still drives like :poking:. Most likely I'll be trading my truck in for an Ecoboost or 3Gen Taco if the issue isn't fixed by next year.

Everyone's ownership experience will vary. I have been lucky to have had good experiences various mfgs like Ford, BMW, Honda, Mazda, Toyota, Chevy, and Lexus...except for my Tacoma (the vibration is annoying as fuck). In fact, our fleet of service vehicles are primary Ford Transits, Silverados, and Colorados . So far no issues with any of them except for normal maintenance.

A shoe horn and 7 gallons of lube.

Because the seats are too small, you see.

Loading a golf cart your ramps would be to the outer parts of the tailgate where it is stronger. The problem I believe would be the flex in the center part where is no inner bracing. If these tailgates weren't and issue why do these companies sell so many of the reinforcement panals ? To bad Toyota didn't spend more time correcting a known problem as the did working on that awsome, beautiful, new grill ! Just my .02.

So my last Tacoma, a Gen 1, which has a very similar and light tailgate, I loaded a 500lb motorcycle in all the freaking time using a folding ramp. Also loaded my 600lb snowmobile in there all winter long. When you take off the inside cover of the tailgate you could see the metal had bent slightly. The frame of the tailgate. Externally you couldn't see anything at all. That is why they make the aftermarket reinforcement panels- for people who are so anal and fucked up when the tailgate bends a tiny bit- which you can't see on the outside at all.

It's a fucking truck man, the tailgate frame might bend a little but mine never failed and I don't expect this one too either, which I have loaded motorcycles and snowmobiles in.

I'm actually going to ask a reasonable question so I'm sure it'll either be ignored or sh*t on, but where do you people who have issues with the rear window frosting up live? I've had a tacoma for nearly 10 years now, an 01 and now an 09 and live in MA. I've never once had any issue at all with my rear windows being frosted over, the only problem I've ever had even close to that is not clearing my roof and having a pile of snow fall onto my bed cover and block the rear view until I wiped it off.

I also love the people who complain about toyota quality. The full size chevy's and Gm's have the worst reliability of any truck in existence. There's a reason tacoma's have great resale value and the rest don't. THat's a fact, not a "fan boi" talking.

Logged back in this morning to see us at 8 pages! If we can get about 5 more pages of cum shots, popcorn, and cheese trays I think my problems will be fixed.

I would like heated mirrors before a rear defrost. I could care less if I have to scrape the back window, which yes, sometimes I have to do.

As you can see in my profile, I live in Pennsylvania. For the last four days it has been raining here and every night I workout I get back in my truck and all the windows fog up. I blast the front defrost and crack the windows which fixes the problem everywhere except the back window which remains solid fog. Also, I have not had this truck in the winter, but often when the temp goes from above freezing to below water will run down the rear window and freeze as ice to said window...rear defrost helps this.

I'm large too, seats are fine...

Seating POSITION on the other hand blows. The arrangement of the steering wheel position is just weird. It's so low, it feels like i'm driving one of those plastic jeeps.

I'm actually with the OP on this one. I love the truck and won't be trading it because of these reasons... but I really don't like the seating position compared to my other vehicles I've driven (2004 Subaru WRX STI and 2004 Jeep TJ Rubicon).

I also agree that the tailgate is weak (pathetically so for a truck).

Also the power, even with near stock or stock tires is pretty bad on these trucks. I don't know how you guys defend it so much... Towing even a 4,000lb pontoon boat (granted, it has horrible wind characteristics) is just about impossible at highway speeds. 55 wasn't horrible, 60 was pushing it.

I guess like the OP I was expecting more of a truck... instead I basically got the same amount of truck as my 2000 Chevy Blazer with the 4.3L ... Yes, it actually handled this load just as gracefully

It's a reasonable load by weight, but that boat does look enormous!
