What's going to happen when the new Frontier, Ranger and Jeep truck are on the market? Obviously the Tacoma will still be popular, but they may have to make a move to stay more competitive. Basically the new Tacoma got a (sort of) weaker engine, very polarizing styling, 2 mpg increase and $2k price increase. I literally thought something was wrong with the 2016 Tacoma that I test drove because the power seemed seemed so unresponsive at low speeds. My 2002 feels like a rocket around town compared to it. Not bashing, I am a huge Tacoma fan and plan on testing the manual, but man, it really sucks living in this CAFE world that we live in now. I may be forced into a full size if I want to pull my camper regularly.

And while I am slightly upset about the motor, I have almost done a 180 with styling. This video is practically porn! FAP FAP FAP FAP!

Finally picked up my black TRD Sport 4x4 AC last night. Will make a thread with pictures and short review later today when I can get some decent pics. Gonna be taking her out later today to Discount Tire to get some new shoes.

Sounds like you are destined to drive a 2015 then. The 2nd Gen thread is over - - - > there. Or maybe over <------ there. Either way have fun.
Does it make you feel better to tell the people who like something that you don't like it? Your post belongs in the 2nd Gen forum area, not here. Would you go into McDonald's and start telling random people that you ate there once and hated it, but went to Burger King and love it so much more? Think about that.

    Black and orange interior?
What size/type of new shoes are you going to be putting on?

So far I'm happy with the stock tires. Figure I'll use them at least through this winter and see how they do.

I obviously did not read your complete update where you mentioned opening a thread and sharing photos... duh!! What caught my eyes was the last few words... "getting new shoes".

Same question as kennebec... Reason for the swap? Just tires? or Wheels as well? Details man, details! :)

Two reasons. I prefer to have a good set of AT's on a truck. Second, I like the way they look much better. :p Just getting new tires. I love the sport wheels. Getting Nitto Terra grappler G2's (sticking with factory size). They will likely have to order them so any pics I post today will be before the new rubber.

I want to change the tires as well, just for looks alone... but also based on what happened to Mike330R. In his case he went with BFG KO2’s, 265/75/16. I see that you are going with a different brand. Just documenting future mods and what brand/size I should be looking at...

Anyway... will read all that in your thread!

And that interior with black exterior... must look amazing!

I'm going with 265/65/17. I really wanted the KO2's but they don't come in the sports factory size and I've heard nothing but great things about the Nittos so I'm gonna roll with those.

I've had both Nittos and BFGS, and It seemed like the BFGS didn't wear out as fast.
