If my dealer demanded a fisting done to me, I'm fairly certain I'd shop elsewhere.

I had a 2007 Access cab, purchased new and I now have a TRD Sport DCSB 2015. I loved the 2007 and I like the 2015 as well. You are not buying a Tundra. I have a 2015 GX460 and a 2012 LS460, purchased new. There is no comparsion, but I knew this going into the deal. Each vehicle has its special features. I do not intend to haul lumber and other large items in my GX. The Tacoma does the things I want it to do very well. If the reliability turns out anywhere near the 2007 I will be quite satisfied. The 2007 did not have the VVTi engine and it did not have the stronger rear leaf spring. When I got rid of the 2007 I did quite well on the price.

The 2015 has the same springs and engine. Only the 4runner and FJ got the VVTI engine.

Tacoma has vvti. Not dual vvti like the 4runner and fj.

What do you do with your (stock) Tacoma that your GX can not...other than haul lumber...and how often do you haul lumber?

I don't know what I will buy next. This is not my dd. But a truck used for towing boats and the occasional car to the track. Where do you see a personal attack?

No. I know the towing limits. I just expected more qaulity from a truck. New these are well over 30k, and you still have to upgrade the tailgate and stereos and other odds and ends to make it a capable truck. Unless all you haul is your wife's grocerys I am sure it's fine.
