Well on the plus side of having to wait (I don't mind waiting by the way because its a quality product lol) I am waiting for the Taco to get shipped back to me after some thieves took off with it. So that's a plus? Lol...

So while I'm watching my daughter this morning. I went through the install instructions for the bed kits and did a little revising and editing. If anyone can take pictures of the kits with the new wiring when they receive their kit I would greatly appreciate it. How-to for hood kit coming soon.

any tips on install for the bed hit. I am in ny and the weather is getting closer to winter day by day.

figured I would use and alcohol prep wipe in a heated garage ( bays at work )
and just hope for the best adhesion between the bed and the led strip

Besides the alcohol wipe and a warm garage/bay you should be set. The adhesive I use holds great and I've never had issues in the cold weather I get in NM.

Also you shouldn't worry about the adhesive not sticking. I put a strip with wire hanging in my carpeted camper shell and it hasn't even started peeling off. It's been there for a lil over a week now.

Only other advice for the bed install is to start the side strips at the tailgate end and work forward. I started at the cab end and worked back, then I ended up with about 1/2" hanging off the end since I didn't start it far enough forward.

I also found it was easier to fish the wiring through the frame first, then push the wire loom over and down the wire where ever I thought it needed to go.

Well currently, the new loom won't be an issue. I loom the wires now plus the new loom isn't bulky. Deff agree to start at the back of the bed then the front.

You are pre-looming the power wiring, from the engine bay to the bed?

As of now. It takes a lot of time to loom the wire with the new braided loom. And I'm wanting the easiest install as possible. Is it more time consuming for me. Sure is but I rather it be an easier install.

I should have taken photos of how the wire will look loomed with the new braided loom.

Will definitely be easier, assuming that the loom doesn't make fishing the wire through the frame a pain. Worse pain then the old loom, or pushing the loom down the wire like I did anyway.

I'll loom some wire to get the idea out. The braided loom basically hugs the wires now so there isn't a gaps or space with in the loom. The only difficulty will be the hole where you start at the front of the frame but a coat hanger can make it easier

Ok so here's wiring for a bed kit.460715d2245afc090c4fb4c738c38138_c95369588eeeecfdd17327be3819e118130ced92.jpg5c35530fa24e8ec5dc94b06cc544dcc6_3c3d7cc11cc36a57aea20e681e8febcfa83a8532.jpg29e60c30d36b7478deb9baf6f6826b6e_2392076a49a1608db71b8b59144d8eff4527aef8.jpg
As you can see each end is shrink tubed and the connectors installed same with the inline fuse.. Hope this helps everyone out.
