    Really no typical here, at least that I've figured out in 14 yrs. Most would probably call this early, but not unusual. I don't think this one will stay to be the base all Winter; i.e. likely to melt off below 3000'. Mountains probably now have their snowcap base. :notsure:

    I have a feeling that were in for another long winter in New England too. Be interesting to see how early it starts for us. Fall project time is upon me. Want to get those hand warmer grips for the snowblower wired up, insulate attic better and fix my gutters, all before it snows.:pray:

    I don't mind the snow or the duration, it was the amount of snow I couldn't get off my roof that bothered me. I had to hire a crew to cut channels in my ice dams to keep my roof from getting destroyed. I've got a plan for this year though.
