I've owned my 2015 TRDORAC for a month and don't have anything to complain about.

    Should I seek professional help?

No, you should start modding so you can complain about less disposable income.

I'll give you one "The truck is total shit, it has none of the refined features of my aunt's Mercedes and lacks the towing power of my cousin's F-350"

You should file a complaint with Toyota. Demand a refund... If they can't disappoint you, then they can keep the dependable piece of goodness!

Before the fanboys throw things at me, I enjoy my truck.

But come on now, 20K Hyundai's and KIA's have more refined features then our Tacos.

just because you own it doesn't mean it's in your possession. clearly you haven't actually sat in it...let alone driven it. probably still driving your F-150.

That's my point. Bells and whistles is where those cars compete with one another. Try driving any of them in 2 inches of snow. Start adding everything into a Tacoma and you get a $40K price tag, which is what happened with 3rd gen. Lots of people complaining about that. Ford has F-150 models that have "everything" see what a truck like that will cost you. And at the end of day, it will still be a Ford.

I like my little truck that holds 700 lbs of tools all the time and I 4 wheel in when I want, knocks down 18.5 mpg average.

My point is bells and whistles aren't cost prohibitive from a manufacturing stand point and are common place now. 25 years ago the average consumer needed to pay up for cruise control, power locks, etc because all those options were outrageously expensive, now its common place. The same will be said for adaptive cruise control and all the "high tech" stuff of today. Guaranteed within 10 years adaptive cruise control will be in all cars/trucks as the price will be negligible.

The thing is , Im not sure what excuse Toyota uses for not putting more of the "basic" bells and whistles into their trucks when other trucks at similar price points, and cars at much lower price points have them standard. My guess is because the competition in the midsize truck is pathetic ( wish Honda would make an actual pickup and not the awful Ridgeline) therefore Toyota can use that as an excuse from a business aspect ( which makes perfect sense) , but from a end user/consumer shit is frustrating!
