I don't know...my 2015 came with the jbl premium package and it sounds better than the wife's new bose system in her new Rogue.

I bought a '15 on purpose, I knew what might be a problem going in, engine tick, wind noise, weak tailgate, passenger seat vibes, no power seats or rear window, drum rear brakes, medium towing capacity and fuel milage, thin paint, but those are all givens in our trucks, get some or get 'em all who knows? I got 3 of them and I'm ok with that.

lol I'm ok with it too despite my complaints. If I wasn't I'd sell it...

But really, some of the things I just expected more from, specifically interior fit and finish. I had a lot of little rattles in the dash (above the radio, by the defroster) and even my 2004 WRX STI with a stiff suspension wasn't nearly as rattly

I know, my last Tacoma I had for 18 yrs. and sold it for $7800. The only thing I ever replaced on it besides the timing belt ( standard maintenance ) was the normal stuff. Tires, battery ect.

That's why I buy these trucks, they last and good resale if you take care of them.

Oh dont know, he is complaining about upgrading tires on 1GR imagine his disappointment with larger tires and 2gr-fks. He would probably end up burning his truck with that wimpy engine. :bananadead:

Then please, tell me what I can expect out of my truck. Maybe next time I buy one with my money you can tell me what options I should go for on a truck. And by all means take the one item out of a long list of problems on the Tacoma platform and focus on that. What else should I not expect out of a truck? quality frame or leaf springs? Non Noisy window seals, interior lights not burning out. These are just a FEW of the common problems. This thing is a domestic garage bomb!!! I don't see the frame rust thread at 1 or 2 pages, or the leaf spring thread at 6 comments, and I bet they will only get larger as the years pass by. Its like people who bought these trucks are afraid they might be average and tell themselves these are the best things in the world, maybe to justify they made a mistake. I have one. its not that great. I guess I have higher standards and don't like to settle. Why should I quit bitching about it... or should I just agree with everyone thinking its all roses and pie?

Amen brother I buy Toyota for one simple fact.....You can beat the crap outta it and the freakin thing will last forever. not because of the seats, radio, whatever.. It will last and holds their value. Done.

I've had other vehicles that I didn't like. You know what I did? I sold it and bought something else. It's that easy. I didn't sit around bitching about the vehicle I didn't like on a web forum.

With so much information available to us on web most issues can be researched, especially with the format of the Tacoma not having too many changes over the years. Due diligence of the consumer is still a large part of a purchase, especially with so much money at stake.

my taco is power nothing and hasn't rusted to death yet, it isn't perfect but nothing is:notsure:

guess this is why i buy trucks used.. cause dropping over 20grand on something that isn't perfect doesn't appeal to me.

can someone answer this for me: do people go buy a brand new vehicle and only do one test drive? I assumed that you would have gone to at least 3 dealerships and test driven multiple vehicles at different trim levels and such?.. ya gotta spend hours in something before you notice what pisses you off about it IMHO.

Heres the thing, I don't care what you did. I am not going to pretend that this truck was birthed from the semen of a golden god and only talk about how it saved us all from ISIS. I live in reality.
