One of the first mods I did on my truck was the locker anytime mod. When I did, I put my switch inside the glove compartment so that there were no worries of accidentally hitting it while driving along. Since then I have decided I want to relocate my switch but I am not sure where to put it. I don't want it in the center console by the cup holders and I don't have any blanks by my left knee. I now know that accidentally hitting it while driving or cleaning or whatever probably won't happen so I am not worried about that.

For those with the mod, or any mod I guess that requires a switch, where did you put yours? I want something easier to reach than having to bend over into the glove box to hit the switch for faster actuation on the fly. Thanks for any input.

So is yours wired into the factory one? With my set up I have to hit my switch and then hit the locker button since I did the transfer case bypass method.

If your not worried about hitting it, then switch to the anytime mod and just have to hit one button. I have had the mod done for six months or more now and have not hit it on accident yet... Now to go find some wood to knock on.

Doesn't that require hacking up your wiring and using the DPDT relay? If I was redoing it that would maybe be an option but since I am just moving the switch I am going to just extend the wires to my new desired location and maybe get a fancier switch.

Yes it does but I thought there was something with the CEL coming on with the switch way. That is why I ended up going with the dpdt anytime mod. I would have to go look again but that sounds right, or I am crazy. Never know for sure.

It took less then an hour, maybe two, if I recall and I can switch it back if I had to in almost the same amount of time.

You are correct, with the switch thrown in either 2wd or 4hi it will throw a code over like 30mph or so regardless of if you are locked or not. It isn't a big deal to me though because I have an ultragauge so I can clear it in like 2 seconds.
