i just went to mountain high, and it was awesome. it was my first time snowboarding, plus i entered for free because it is my birthday...jeje. i am so phucking sore, my legs, calves, ass, wrists, and overall all my body aches. anyway, i do not know why i waited so long to do this, this is just awesome, i am so hooked now.

Now i need to buy gear (board, bindings, and boots) do you guys have any suggestion on what are the best brands out there, and where i would get a good deal. i was thinking on going on ebay by the end of the season and see what it is offered but i would not know what brands to look for. thanks

well boards really depends on ur size and what type of riding ur gonna be doing and gear like pants and jacket ect. just get what u like. Now for your boots ur gonna want to get ones that fit snugly. bindings just my personal fav i have a pare of flows cant remeber what model but they are by far the best type of bindings that i have ever riddin on. If you have any more questions feel free to message me or im sure someone else will bealong and can give you more help.

get a skate banana by lib tech best board you will ever have or ride. I rode a burton blunt for three years got the skate banana and fell in love just like everyone else with one. Snowboarding is a get what you pay for kinda sport really cant cheat the prices for a good deal or your gonna get junk. But yeah man ive been at mt high for the past 5 days theyve been open hope to see you out there!

First to answer ur question; I dunno where in the desert you live, but I'm assuming you might not be too far away if that's true. Every year at the LA Convention Center an event called Ski Dazzle is held. It just ended this past weekend, but they have a lot of vendors there selling boards, binding, boots, gear, everything at up to 70% off. Its only like 14$ to get in and this last one let you use ur ticket as a voucher to get an all day lift ticket into 1 of 2 resorts at Big Bear.

Second . . .I totaaalllly know how it feels after first going snowboarding, lol. The first time I went was in highschool. I got pretty banged up, but loved the day no less. The next morning I woke up and tried sitting up to get out of bed . . . .that wasnt happening, lol. I just started yelling, "Daaaaaaaad!" He comes in and asks what I needed. I just raised my hand up and said I'm too sore to get out of bed. He just started laughing.
