    We need to talk!

We also have LED replacement fog lights that we can match up to the HID headlights for a consistent look!

I am very interested in this. I know the Prius, Corolla, and many other Toyota cars have projection HID's, yet Toyota chose not to include them in the Tacoma's projection headlights. I was wondering if direct parts from other Toyotas would work in the new Tacoma.

I'm interested if it's a plug and play kit with no mods to the OEM housings.

Prius, Corolla, new Rav4 and top models of the new Camry have projected LED headlights. None of the auto manufacturers use HID systems anymore because they are an older technology. LED is the way to go.

Having said that, I do have Morimoto HID system trough Retrofit Source on my daily commuter, they sell great Systems!

That's the million dollar question. Can you shoot me an email to discuss?

    Thanks!

How easy is it, relatively, to retrofit the projector halogen headlight to an HID system? Is LED even an option with projector halogen headlights? Just curious because I will definitely want to retrofit when I get my 2016. I can't stand projector halogens.

Thanks for the clarification. The point I am trying to make/question I have is if these cars have projection HID/LED lighting from Toyota, can they be retrofitted into the projection housing of the new Tacoma?

I too hate the halogens, but am glad they at least have the projector lenses. HID or LED retrofit into the stock housing would be amazing

I just decided to buy these: Its a 55W (factory power- same as HID), and gives off the color of the HID, but is a normal Halogen bulb, I don't actually have the truck to try them out yet, but I believe it will do just fine for most of my purposes. And if it doesn't work then im only out $20

Yeah we know. The higher you go in color temperature, the lower the actual light output is, and the more ricey they look.

5000K is really as high as you want to go.

    Most stock HID's are 4300K.

Do the stock projectors have proper cutoffs in them for conversion to HID? If not, isn't just as bad as the ricer kid putting HID bulbs in his '98 Civic? What about he Bi-Xenon capabilities, This is where the cutoff is actually doing some real work.

They have the proper cutoff in my 4Runner, so they must have done the same thing in the Tacoma.

This shouldn't be a problem.. just going to be a matter of mounting a ballast some where and sliding some HID bulbs behind the projectors. Obviously no bi-xenon capabilities without retrofit work but thats what LED lightbars are for. I'm looking for it now but I'm like 99% sure someone has already put HIDs in a 16 tacoma and posted pictures of it on here...
