my 2014 offroad was horrible also, many things made me not like it, i put up with it for 8 months, traded for a 2015 , 1 yr later no complaints,, seems like they make a few good ones luck of the draw i guess....

Honestly why I decided to hang onto my current truck versus trading in on a 2015 ... It's been a solid truck for me and still has quite a bit of life left in it.

 

Yep. My 2011 has been semi-bulletproof, dependable as death and taxes, and a real pleasure to own and drive. So what would I possibly have to GAIN by buying another truck? If you're already standing on a mountaintop, the only place left to go is downhill.

 

Agree ... How's that go, better the devil you know than the one you don't? I've fixed or compensated for the minor annoyances; we're happy together. Almost like marriage, 'cept the truck doesn't ever nag.

 

I have a new 2015 v6 4x4 sr5 base access.

Coming off a 2013 ram 4x4 5.7l crew.
You really need to accept the taco for what it is and it's capacity and "abilities".

I have just over 3000 on mine after just making the first payment. I actually Iike this truck ... unlike the 2012 I had with the 4.
I haven't had any problems with the wipers. The power is what I expected.

I have noted a slight decrease in gas usage compared to the ram ... although SLIGHT. I have also noted the sloppy driveline. Lots of subtle clucking here and there.i have used the bed. I have a drainage ditch in front of my house. As with the ram I put the rear end into the ditch to lower the deck so that I could wheel a hand truck holding a full size freezer into the bed. No probs. I will say that the tailgate is pretty light. ...and ofcourse should have lock.

The seat is ok for me ... im 230. One Pack
But the seam is already starting to fray a bit.

I don't like the way the truck sags with any real weight in the bed. If this truck can tow 6k I'm bozo the clown. ..no way .... I did pull a 31 foot camper with my rams ... so this comment comes with experience.

All in all I like this truck. It now fits my slight modified lifeStyle. But the taco with a small v8 would be nice.

One thing I agree with is that even 5 test drives won't give you a clear understanding of a vehicles characteristics. Think the best way is to rent the intended vehicle for weekend.
