Can someone photoshop the grill black but leave the chrome surround and badge? My white Sport is coming in next month and I'm going to paint the grill but no sure about the chrome around the edge.

6k just for some blacked out emblems, tube steps, and a bed bar with lights???? You could go LT for 6k. The 370 torques would be nice though. And is the is the exhaust braking liglke a j-brake on semis?

Yeah that $6k is for that exterior special edition, not the diesel. However the diesel will likely by a pretty huge up charge. We will see if VW didn't ruin it for GM shortly.

Not really a big up charge when you take into account the additional items included with it (different transfer case, exhaust brake, different ratio in the differential, etc.) for around 3.7K

And yes, VW has impacted everything! All orders for the GM diesel were put on hold... I think because of additional test that the EPA wanted to make.... I see GM is using the urea system similar to what my X5 has, so they should be good to go. Not using that system in their vehicles is what got VW to go the software route...

EDIT: EDIT: I just read that VW did not have urea injection systems from 2009-11, in 2012 they started using that system but turned it off via software anyway...

    From that link above:
"Based on our mixed driving loop of in-town and freeway driving, we averaged 31.6 mpg in a 2WD model. We expect the highway figure for both the 2WD and 4WD models to be north of 30. Equally, if not more impressive, was an indicated 20 mpg while towing a near 4,000-pound trailer. "

That package is ridiculous ... No way I would pay for that...

The one that I was looking at was the Canyon SLE with the All Terrain package. I am still going to try to do a test drive on one... the first few times I went to the dealer, they did not have one available...the are selling well.

    2015_gmc_canyon_canyon7_zps0c0792c9_5be4110673166c3f121607d168820ffef2c77707.jpg

Oh, and the guy in that video got the weight wrong...it is 4,280 not 6,000 lbs... 6K is the GVWR...

Anyway... enough of GMC... that is what this forum is for Colorado-Canyon Forum

Let's go back to talking about Toyota Tacomas here...

I think it looks better simply with the Z71 package. This offroad package looks awful. And for those who have not seen the lower packages without leather interior, I gotta say, IMHO look very cheap.. Kudos to GM for building this truck with an optional deezel though.. Prefer the looks on the Canyon All Terrain..

Freaking awesome... 600 miles on the tank, and 20 mpg while towing. Since its diesel that's the number for winter too, no more 10 MPG in winter. Put nice synthetics as all fluids to squeeze even more distance.
Tow 7700 lb on weekend to Raush Creek and get 32 MPG on highway during a week to drive to work.
Ah that sucks its becoming harder to resist that GM.
Kudos for Holden Australia for putting that thing together.

In that video you can see the rear of that truck is Holden Colorado.
I think its only fitting if you get Duramax to replace Chevy bow with this

Seems about the perfect vehicle for my needs. Good MPG, would tow my 3k lb trailer just fine etc. I will be reading up in the coloradofans.com forums to see how people are liking them.

Just contacted some salesmen, so far the word is it won't be available until 2016 because of VW.

No kidding its perfect for most people. Its 30+ MPG midsize pickup with 600+ miles range :D 7700 lb of towing and what 1700lb payload ? and.... no F drum brakes for lesss than 2016 Tacoma with comparable options ?, it would Tow my LC on weekends perfectly, and drive to work on weekdays. And since its midsize you dont have to pay extra for parking in NY or Boston. Not to mention with Diesel now priced below Regular that is money saved right there.

GM will have no problems selling them. I bet half of us government agencies are lined up for that thing. Perfect Forest ranger truck, state trooper truck, perfect for DEP agents, and fire marshals, town employees and fire crews, small delivery companies, parts trucks etc etc.
GM is claiming they only forsee 10% of Diesel sale my ass. Maybe to private people yes but fleet sales are going to go off the chart.

Yeah they are gonna sell like hot cakes. For years and years people have been pigeon-holed into getting a huge full size truck if they want to tow anything of substantial weight. A Colorado diesel solves the towing problem and is a livable daily driver with great MPG.

I think in a way Toyota has conceded that the 2016 has less capability than before by publicly saying "Most people don't care about towing with a Tacoma. It's like #22 on their list.". At least GM is trying give their mid-size some capability. Something more than just a lifted Toyota Camry.

It has more towing capacity than before. They gave it that even though most people don't give a shit about towing capacity. Seems like they went beyond what was asked for.

That my friend is loser talk, If they had best in class towing they would be praising that and claiming new Tacoma is all about Towing. Now they are claiming they suddenly are all about offroad capability, really ? with F drum brakes no solid axle on the front? Jeep is more about offroad capability because you can get one with solid axle up front.
They can't claim they have most power in class because that new engine is complete crap.
No best in class payload, and no best in class MPG.

I can post PDF for 2007 Tacoma and 2016. Both clearly show that my 2007 DCLB has 100 lb more towing capacity than 2016 DCLB.
So explain to me how is that more Towing than before?
    How about Payload ?
