anyone have experience with the Tundra racing lowering kit for prerunners? http://tundraracing.com/prerunnerdropkit.htm How is the ride? will my 265/70/r16 tires fit with no trimming? don't try to grill me in the thread guys, just trying to get knowledge, and am still on the fence about it.

@hemitruk any comments here from your experience with ride quality? know anyone else running this? I remember on the other thread you said it was good, but how does it compare to stock?

To me the ride is better. Little more firm but not as bouncy. But you need to order low profile bump stops tundra racing sells it .With stock bump stops you only have about 1/4 to 1/2 inch clearance . On bumps mine use to slam kind of hard. Low profile bump stops , problem solved . Also recommend Q1a shocks for xrunners (thanks to thor for recommending it). Made big difference in ride quality(shocks adjustable). Also picked up helwig sway bars for rear for 120.00 from local member .
If you going with tundra racing kit just pick up lower profile bump stops and good to go. If you can pick up the Qa1 shocks when you can. Makes a big difference to me
Theres some others with the drop kit try searching tundra racing . Also hirod built has a lot of details . But he latter went custom with custom coil overs and drop spindle. Early part of his thread lots of good info.
And theres thor build . Total custom build .

So my tires would fit, and with the new bumpstops, my TRD bilisteins would ride fine?

Your tires 265/70/16 correct?. If same height as the 265/70/17 I was running on the 4runner rims should be good .Yea the bilsteins would run fine.
Call tundra racing and talk to them .They are very helpful.

Check out IIV Performance they got the Qa1s for the xrunners .That's the one you want. If you do pick up Qa1s mount bottom of shocks to original mount on rear end . http://www.xiiperformance.com/

So these wouldn't be stiff, even though the prerunner sits higher than the xrunner?

The one for the xrunner is the one. Just mount to original Toyota mount points. Tundra racing kit theres a mount for shocks on spring mount
Not listed for prerunner but it works with tundra racing kit. Its up to you if you want to try it but I have no problems with it . Works for me. There is a 2 page manual. Drag racing 0-6 clicks 2-8 clicks for nice ride 8-12 clicks for firm ride and improved handling 13 + clicks for more aggressive handling
Pic shows Qa1 shock mounted to original mount point . A little below that you can see the tundra mount for original shocks
