Love that trailer design. I may end up renting one to try one out.

It was the most well designed (and built) of the many many versions I found and looked at. It's great for California, but it could be a bit of a challenge where it rains much.

sorry for quoting a day old post..

Ive been looking at these same fridges, been wondering if they would fit behind the passenger seat in the taco..

are you able to open the lid with it inside the truck?

sorry if you posted pics, but they wont load at work

Before I had my kid and my dog I kept my fridge in the cab behind the passenger seat and it was a great spot. The lid opened fine and I ran the cable along the gap by the passenger seat and center console right to the cigarette lighter. I love my whynter fridge. Got the 65qt for like $520 and paid an extra $50 for an extra 3 years of warranty (total of 6 years) from Home Depot. I just couldn't spend the $800+ for an ARB at the time. Haven't regretted it one bit though. I've been very pleased with its performance.

It's a very tight fit in my 1st gen xcab. Someone sitting in the passenger set cannot lean back and the seat will be moved forward a little. Doesn't matter for me as I never have a passenger when out and about. I am able to open the lid about 3/4 of the way open. Enough to be able to get the baskets in and out so that is plenty for loading and unloading. Sorry, no pics.

ive been debating the size.. if a 65QT fits back there and you can open the lid all the way...wow

    what about the front seat?

do you have to move it forward quite a bit?

are you placing the fridge in the rear seat cushion, or are you removing the cushion and placing it on some sort of platform..

I'm sorry, I can open it about 3/4 of the way like digiratus. Plenty enough to get things in and out comfortably though. I had it behind the passenger seat on top of the cushions on a 2 week 3300 mile trip and my wife who is 5'6" sat very comfortably up front in the passenger seat.

You'd probably be good with the 45qt, the only reason my wife and I got the 65qt is because we knew we'd be having a kid sometime soon. And the price difference wasn't a lot so we got the bigger one. On a 2 week trip we planned out meals and stuff and the 65qt held everything the we needed to be refrigerated, we only had to stop 2 times on our trip for Milk and bread

we dont plan to have kids, so maybe a 45qt sounds reasonable.

i just wish they had these on display so i can get an idea of how big they are on the inside and what not.

When I get home from my vacation on Saturday I could take better pictures to give you an idea of size on my 65qt
